Police voluntarily turning in their guns after a police officer with a gun shot and killed a man they were pursuing and was later charged with murder.

Not sure why he fired his gun. Nothing was said that he thought his life was in danger. People are claiming racism. Could have been a ND.

Apparently English police fired their guns just 4 times last year. Only one in ten Carrie’s a gun. There is a concern that terrorists could take advantage of this unarmed situation.

England and Wales have a very low murder count compared to the US. They list murders per million rather than murders per 100,000 as we do. 696 murders last year in the whole country.

To put that in perspective that’s one more than Chicago’s 695 for 2022.

I’m watching Bodyguard on Netflix ( not the movie about the singer ). It’s set in London, follows a Bodyguard for the female Home Secretary who is also conservative. Wouldn’t see this on US tv as it shows a lot of terrorism by a certain expected group.
