Re: Alarm Drop Response

This stuff isn't very popular today but I've had an X-10 system in my house for more than 25 years. Most of the outside lights are on it. Several of the interior lights are, too. I have a timer which turns them on and off at various times i the day. I picked the controlled lights carefully, so that ...

Re: State Park carry?

This thread proves we have way too much gov't, far too many laws, far too many people in power with zero respect for the original meaning and intent of the 2nd Amendment. When a man has to work this hard just to figure out how to keep from running afoul of the law something is wrong. While not ever...

Re: State Park carry?

Whoa, whoa, whooooooa. Read that federal law again. It says "the possession of loaded firearms...." So if you're on COE property, you can carry, but just keep the magazine handy. Right? No. Federal regulation 357.13 (a) Possession of loaded firearms, ammunition......is prohibited. This one sticks i...

Another Kangaroo Discussion

I searched through the most recent discussions about the Kangaroo holster and didn't find what I was looking for. I decided to start a new thread My EDC is a Sig P250 Compact. My daily holster for it is an IWB Minotaur. I carry it chambered. But for the last 8 years, I've used the Kangaroo holster f...

Re: Liberty County Building - Posted

Now make a logical case that allowing carry in court will not have any effect on the judicial process, that judges, witnesses, prosecutors, jurors would not let that knowledge intimidate them in any way or that there's no possibility someone will lose it shooting up the courtroom? Physical attacks ...

Re: Liberty County Building - Posted

There will always be backlash, from the left, any time, restrictions, on LTC holders, are reduced, but, we have had open carry passed, without incident, campus carry passed, without incident etc. So my question is, why do you think, that LTC holders would suddenly go on shooting rampages, in courtr...

Re: Liberty County Building - Posted

Thanks for the feedback Russel. It is possible that the Denton Precinct 3 building was not submitted to the AG and I have no problem doing that. If there seems to be more than Waller County involved, perhaps the chances of a favorable ruling will improve. I'll let the Liberty folks work on their sit...

Re: Liberty County Building - Posted

I'm certain that the Denton County situation was submitted to the Attorney General's office - without any relief. I have no knowledge about the Liberty County one.

Liberty County Building - Posted

I searched and didn't find this situation previously posted. Please delete if my searchers were incomplete This situation sticks in my craw because we have a similar one in Denton County. It seems that the Attorney General's office actions are not sufficient to stop the practice in multiple places. ...

Re: can you conceal carry at the fort bend county fair?

Any suggestions Obey the law and ignore invalid signs. And make sure concealed is really concealed. I've walked past invalid signs and even gotten into a stand-off with a political entity who put up fences and wanted to wand me to get into an event. At least some of the ones that do those sorts of ...

Re: Can we now just admit the left wants to eliminate the Bill of Rights?

Let's set aside the topic for a minute and focus on the mechanism - banning books. I'm not allowed to create an publish a book and submit it in a free marketplace? Because someone else has deemed it unworthy of being available to the public? Exactly how many topics can fall into this category and ex...

Re: Just My Thoughts

The deeper issue is that the internet has completely replaced paper mail as a means of communication. The Constitution explicitly requires the Federal government to provide for "post roads", which in today's world refers not to a dirt trail with a relatively low frequency of native american and ban...

Re: Always Use A Shopping Cart

Here are some other considerations for me: 1. I believe that the areas for most concern in big box and supermarkets are the parking lots, not the interiors of the stores themselves. John, from Active Self Protection calls them "transitional spaces". As others have suggested, I want the fewest things...
