Re: Police searching for gunman who shot at Fresno family watching TV

I've often wondered about the backstory on some of these rather bizarre situations. Just for fun, I tried to locate Lamona and Peach on a map. They appear to intersect on the East side of the city, near the airport. Then, I went to the City of Fresno website and found the police information. https://...

Re: TX: anti gun New Yorker moves here

I don't really care if she likes guns or not, after all to each his own. I think she is showing signs of paranoia with her fear of what others might do because they have guns though. And the worst part of it is she is teaching her daughter to fear them too. But I am wondering if her husband might n...

Re: Police respond to shooting at Saugus High School in Southern California

The Governor, Gavin Newsom wants McConnell to pass “common sense” gun control. He makes that his first announcement after today’s shooting in a State that already has very “strenuous” gun laws that are OBVIOUS to a blind man DO NOT work. To those much smarter than I, do the liberals really believe ...

Re: Police respond to shooting at Saugus High School in Southern California

Here is my prediction. The media will not give as much focus to this shooting because they will not want to dilute the theatrics in D.C. right now. There will be coverage but not the wall-to-wall kind after Odessa.

Prayers for the victims.

Re: GUN SAFETY COURSE FOR ILLEGAL CONCEALED CARRY?

They can reduce the charge or drop the case for a "safety course". It is the judge call. Can you cite some authority or provide a link to the class requirements please? I do not want to speculate. My suggestion would be to contact the court with a list of several classes and ask any of them would m...

Re: No star in upper right corner of your DL? Problems after 10/1/2020.

I received a notification letter from DPS on Saturday about my DL not being REAL ID compliant. The path to obtaining a REAL ID license if your doesn't expire until after Oct 1 2020 is to request a duplicate ID by mail or online for $10.00. (Online adds $1.00 fee for total of $11.00). I requested a ...

Re: Pit Bull Attack...divine intervention

Update: 1. Our dog is nearly healed. Her damaged right shoulder is not showing any signs of soreness though it has only been the last couple of days when I've taken her on very short walks. Before the attack, we walked about a mile each day which is about all that her short legs can handle. She is a...

Re: After Virginia win, Bloomberg groups targeting Texas

They are going to probably make good on it too. We're basically a purple state right now. O'rourke came what 3% away from winning the senate race. How many judges did we see go blue, and we had a congressional district flip blue, and zero flip red. They won't take the entire state, but they'll win ...

Re: Japanese Documentary: Govt knew A-bomb was coming, did not warn cities

I have not read the linked articles and do not intend to. Nagasaki was not the Army's first choice as a target. That decision was made in flight due to cloud cover over the primary target. As Veteran's Day 2019 approaches, the US Army remains the only entity having used atomic weapons in war. Estim...

Re: TX: Missing NH couple found buried on South Texas beach

Your RV and your vehicle is your home even in a COE park. Didn't I see where a person was arrested and charged with the murders? I'm not sure that is a legal understanding, based on the latest information that I've seen. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2017/03/10/second-ame...

Re: No place but Michigan

I don’t think that such action is limited to MI. Can occur in Texas and even by the HOA. :iagree: And it isn't limited to taxes. I mistakenly underpaid a water bill after a 15 year perfect payment record. They slapped me with a fine and would have shut off my water 10 days later. Loan sharks are no...

Re: Oklahoma Constitutional Carry

I've thought about Constitutional Carry in OK. I've also thought about it in Texas. Perhaps I just don't understand real day to day life but here are some of the areas that seem worthy of consideration. 1. Rules for carrying. Someone who just straps on a gun and has never had any education or done a...
