Re: Youtube blacklists NRA and GOA

I went through the blacklist terms in the link. Here is my guess. The blacklist is what culls out traffic for further examination. The name of the Las Vegas shooter was in there with more than 20 permutations by including other words or spellings. I would expect them to then process the culled out i...

Re: Walmart has fallen!

Folks there are barely breaking minimum wage to support their own families. Why not just be discreet about it? I get the passion, but dang man, why even go there? The greeter and security folks have NO say in the matter whatsoever. The ol sayin...stop while you’re ahead... I judged that inquiry as ...

Re: Ultimate Goal of Dems to repeal 2nd Amendment

They don't mean repeal through the Constitutional amendment process. They mean judicial repeal, which only requires 5 votes by unelected judges. Significant portions of the Constitution have already been "repealed" this way. You see, the Constitution doesn't mean what is says in the plain language ...

Re: Albertsons goes the way of Walmart

You're right, OC just ain't my thing. Furthermore, in the current widespread, anti-gun atmosphere, I firmly feel that we 2A believer gun owners should not taunt our opposition with our 1791AD Second Amendment rights. There's a lot more of them than there are of us. "....out of sight, out of mind", ...

Re: Walmart has fallen!

The wife wants to grab a few things at wally world when I get off work today, I'll let ya'll know if they throw me out for open carrying! Why poke the bear? Do you want 'em to put up signs that keep ALL of us from carrying? :iagree: A part of me thinks that if they can make OC carry in all of these...

Re: Garland Road Rage Shooting

Does the shooter have to be shot at to defend himself? Seems to me objects of anykind thrown at you by someone who hates you enough to break your windshield can cause injury or death. I think that the real problem with this one was what appears to be a two stop break on the window on the pickup. Wh...

Garland Road Rage Shooting

It was difficult to figure this out. The article says Ft. Worth because of the paper publishing it. The shooter turned himself into Rowlett police. But it looks like the actual incident happened in Garland. One driver, mad about being cut off chases down a pickup truck, flings a bottle at it, shatte...

Re: Beto: Mandatory Gun Buybacks if Elected President

It would be interesting to see what form the gun buyback takes. I'm more worried about today's news which includes the banning of magazines. Biden was talking about ANY magazine. Regarding rifles, would that include parts and go so far as 80% lowers? All of the Democratic Presidential candidates are...

Re: Reported: Active shooter in Odessa, TX

NBC National News really beating up on guns, gun rights, Texas, Texas’s Governor and gun violence on today’s evening news with the Midland tragedy. Even a little speech from Beto. ABC not as much. No mention of Chicago violence. No mention that Hong Kong citizens not allowed to own or possess guns ...

Re: PA: Gun like hand gesture now a crime.

On one level, I know that my comparison is apples and oranges but the news this morning is that the man who shot Kate Steinle had his conviction for gun possession overturned. That man was a convicted felon who claimed that he had just found the gun lying on the ground, picked it up and it went off....

Re: TX: Heights dog owner shoots another dog as dogs owner was 15 feet away trying to retrieve his pet

One of my own stories comes to mind. I was riding my bike on a concrete bike trail. A dog was on the far side of its owner. The dog, on a leash, raced past its owner who made no attempt to stop it, crossed to distance to me and grabbed my calf, breaking the skin, causing my leg to bleed but fortunat...

Re: Gun Safe help - and perhaps more

Good news! Based on the information shared here which I passed on, the widow was able to find the key and get into the safe. The immediate need to access the important papers has been satisfied. Thank you. I don't know yet if I'll be involved with the gun collection. I don't think that she is ready ...

And, as seems to happen in too many families, there is a vulture type who knows about the guns in the safe and wants to "help."
Get the safe moved.
I'm guessing that it is bolted to the floor. I hope to know more next week.

Re: Gun Safe help - and perhaps more

Thanks for information on your situation, TAM. $300 would be better than the $700 that the widow has been quoted so if we end up going that route and the widow's safe would be similar to yours to open, you have done her a service with your information. I wish you the best with your situation. As you...

Re: Gun Safe help - and perhaps more

I still have not physically been to this house and seen the safe so I cannot provide more information about it than I already have. As you can imagine, making final arrangements for the husband and giving the wife some time to process the situation is the priority. I'm hoping that my friend can help...
