Re: Anti drone equipment

Never mind the drone aspect, the machining was fascinating, at least to me. He must have a couple hundred dollars in fittings alone. I'm always amazed at the ideas that guys with those kinds of skills can come up with.

Re: California to Texas migration

Instapundit (pjmedia.com/instapundit/) argues that someone such as the Koch Brothers should fund a welcome wagon of sorts for newcomers to Texas from blue states. The idea is to deliver to them literature and engage them in discussions to help them see that the differences in policies between red a...

Oregon Politics Heating Up

I've been trying to follow a series of standoffs between the Democratic Governor and some members of the minority Republicans in the Legislature. If I understood it correctly, the Republicans went AWOL and the Gov. was forced to withdraw some gun control measures to get them back in a previous episo...

Re: Nobody but Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

https://youtu.be/96-IkrmX51M AOC implies on a video that Cauliflower is racist. She says it’s Colonial. Remember we Caucasians colonized America, that was a bad thing. Wants urban gardens to have- she named some people of color vegetable. I knew there was a reason I don't like cauliflower. I just d...

Re: Hypothetical - asked not to carry in public venue

Instead, two Lewisville police officers showed up and asked me if I was "having a good day". I showed the my LTC and immediately the officer responded that the security guard did not have the authority to over-rule it. The officers instructed me to submit to the wanding and I did - including my poc...

Re: Hypothetical - asked not to carry in public venue

My situation with Lewisville a few years ago was close to this. The whole downtown part of the city had been fenced off. Entrance to the Western Days even was through gates were a private security firm was set up and wanding everyone, not even allowing pocket knives. I saw two men rejected from entr...

Re: New to Concealed Carry, have a few questions

When I got my then CHL, I wasn't going to carry every day. I only wanted it because I wanted to be able to take a pistol along in our RV when we traveled. I knew that if I wanted to carry at all, i would need a holster and picked one that seemed popular with others, figuring that I would learn to ii...

Re: Governor Abbott Signs Ten Pro-Second Amendment Bills into Law

So what is the outcome of House Bill 1791? Will it have any real impact on the local government and associated groups hanging signs? The bill's a good thing, but I doubt it will reach signs such as those universally posted by the City of San Antonio. Paraphrasing, they say carrying is banned unless...

What a worthless commie loving putz.
How about his constituency? He didn't elect himself.
Charisma trumps policy. We had a splendid example of that in 44.

Re: CA: 1 dead 2 wounded at Costco shooting. Not what you might think.

The story brings up a couple of interesting questions. 1. Was the officer attacked because he was in uniform? Does being in uniform and being assaulted by more than one adult, especially when you have a child to protect change anything? 2. There is no mention of a deadly weapon by the attackers. I'm...
