The "will affect grades" line of thinking is not limited to TAMU. Remember the Time magazine article where a Texas Women's University sociology professor said essentially the same thing.

It would be really interesting see if her grades reflect the predicted outcome. I was under the impression that sociology was very involved in the study of data. That data should show only a very remote chance of one student having an LTC in any of her classes if you look at the State demographics. I do understand that there are likely a measurable percentage of non-Texas students at TWU but the likelihood of a CCW licensee from another State carrying there should be even smaller. But, of course, no one will call her on the hype that she created.
