It really shows a strong case of ignorance ...They just do not like us ..
Do you have a link to the 'going orange' site? I can't seem to find it.

For some reason, I have a morbid desire to watch the wailing and gnashing of teeth by our adversaries.

Re: SB11 & HB910 This week....

Thanks Charles and everyone else who had a hand in getting 2 difficult high profile bills across the finish line in this bizzaro session. Your first adult beverage at Marino's is on me after the next PSC match I attend. :cheers2:

Let us know what we can do to help lay the ground work for a HB308 type bill next session! I love going to Astros/Texans games and Rodeo Houston, but I HATE not being armed in Houston.

Same here! I thought it wasn't eligible for consideration until 7:40, so we went out for some Texmex. Checked in after dinner and BAM!

Now we just , need to get SB11 across the finish line!!!!

camjr wrote:I'm with Annoyed Man. 95% is better than nothing. The vast majority of CHL holders won't be practicing OC in metropolitan areas where the ammendment opposition comes from, but I anticipate seeing a lot of OC on opening day of dove season on 9/1/16 out in the rural area restaurants between morning and afternoon hunts! Get the law on the books, and fix it down the road.

Now, just get the darn thing to the Governor!

Cheers!
If a ton of folks carry on opening day of dove season, 9/1/15, there will likely be a few arrests and/or citations. The law won't take effect until 01/01/16.

I'm a little bummed about that. I'm elk hunting in Van Horn in September. I'll be hunting with my .500 and that thing is a real pain to take off and on for a trip to town.

ETA: oops! Now I see you were talking about dove season NEXT year. My bad.........still bummed about having to take off the holster for a town trip on the elk hunt.

I find it interesting how easy it is to throw out the clowns as the scapegoats.

Almost everyone agrees that the Dutton/Huffines amendment does really nothing. It's a meaningless amendment that should have never been attached to the bill. But a whole host of "second amendment supporting" (R) s just put the entire bill at risk over a meaningless amendment.

These same people allowed amendments onto campus carry that guarantees a non concurence vote in the senate.

Re: SB11 & HB910 This week....

The problem isn't the conference, all that will happen will be that the Huffines amendment gets stripped. The problem is the Ellis filibuster on the conference report.
