Re: Moody Gardens - Galveston

Re: HB 497 - Add Types and Uses of Ammunition to Required LTC Course Curriculum

After the School Marshal fiasco, they probably want LTC Instructors extolling the virtues of frangible ammo above and beyond any other types. But really, telling people to carry hollow points over FMJ for self defense would be a good thing. Maybe just explaining the differences and issues of differ...

Re: Savage Model 10PC Bolt Problem

The blue should be a more gentle hold, much more so than the red stuff. A little bit of acetone ( nail polish remover) can help. I am not familiar with the particular bolt and screw, but I think you should be OK if the head isn't too bunged up.

Re: Medications and CHL question

It's not clear that CBD oil is legal under federal law, hence a user of it could be a prohibited possessor under federal law and thereby ineligible to maintain a Texas LTC. I don't know much of the specifics and certainly don't recommend it. I was responding to the comment, " Xanax is a very BAD dr...

Re: Medications and CHL question

I currently have a valid CHL for another 3 years before renewal. My job is getting stressful. The anxiety is keeping me from sleeping and really starting to get to me. My doctor suggested Xanax. I told him no for now because I don’t know if that would disqualify me being prescribed Xanax. It’s not ...

This will be my EDC when my license arrives. I wish I could carry now, but I'm not gonna break any laws. Just vehicle carry for now. And yes, I know it had to be concealed not on my person.
It can be on your person. As long as you don't leave the car. I

These days I use Balistol. I run a Bore snake once or twice and the barrel sparkles. wiping down the innards cleans up the guns pretty quickly and efficiently. I have a small tube of TW25 that I got [abbreviated profanity deleted] fee at the Houston TA convention. I touch up the sliding parts with i...

I was 12, was told by our bus driver as we were loading the bus to go home. That the president had been shot. I asked the busdriver," What president?" I Got home in time to watch Cronkite make the announcement that he had died. It was a sad day for the country. But there were no tears at our home. W...
