Re: Australia: Another object lesson in don't give up your firearms

They said it would be fine... just give up your firearms... what could go wrong?

Re: ND at the gun club today during monthly pistol match

Am I the only one surprised that anyone is still shooting pistol matches given the current price of ammo (that you can actually get)? If you are not lucky enough to find it in stock at a retailer, then the going price seems to be over 50 cents per round for basic 9mm FMJ ammo. When I shoot IDPA mat...

Re: 80% lower receivers

Anderson lowers aren't fancy but they work. Looks like they are out of most offerings at the moment. A jig and a milling machine are very helpful.

LA Sheriff challenges LeBron James to match the reward (100k)
for information leading to the arrest of the shooter.

Why wouldn’t he do it? 100k is nothing to him.
Love it!

Re: The madness continues

The real madness is the media jumping up and down, claiming that the ER blocking didn't happen. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/la-hospital-protesters-block-police-er-shooting-compton-b434035.html And, of course, the article ends by blaming the President for trying to falsely link...

Re: ND at the gun club today during monthly pistol match

I think bolstering a gun is the most dangerous thing you can do with a gun. Yes and no. DFW has regular visits to the ER from those who had a discharge from a holstered gun. If it is a strong side holster the wound is generally non-life threatening. They will live, and hopefully learn. Appendix car...

Re: Helping to keep Texas #1

Very nice! I need to bite the bullet and buy a .22 Suppressor. If I had done that a year ago I would have it already. I guess I'm having a really hard time coming to grips with the fact that I need to pay the Feds $200 and then wait almost a year for permission to own a tube of metal that isn...

Re: ND at the gun club today during monthly pistol match

Glad to hear the unfortunate situation was handled well. I'm convinced that training is more important than equipment. Stop the bleed, CPR, AED, First Aid, TC3 can all be important. Some situations require equipment, but every medical situation requires knowledge of what to do. A your home and car a...

Helping to keep Texas #1

The ATF's 2019 Annual Statistical Update shows that by a long way Texas is #1 in the nation for registered NFA silencers. Texas has 330,806 out of a national total of 1,750,433 registered silencers. I got started doing my part to keep Texas in front. After reading AndyC's posts and reviewing ARFCOM ...
