New 6.5 Creedmoor.

Ruger American predator
Vortex viper pro high rings
Nikon prostaff 7 5-20x50
Precision armament m4-72 muzzle brake

Love the rifle shoots real soft. Hadn’t gotten to sight it in yet just plucked a few cans at about 40 yards.

Any other 6.5 fans in here?

Re: new rifle selection choices UPDATE

The Ruger is kinda where I’m leaning. Don’t have to pay for a scope that won’t get used. It’s bedded also. The stock is a little flimsy toward the sling mount but I can work around that I do like the look of the bull barrel on the savage it looks like a 20ga from the side.

Re: Having your permit on your person?

personally i wouldn't worry, i'm sure lots of folks get pulled over that are just "running to the store real quick" that dont have their DL on them, ive caught myself doing that a few times or even down the street to pick the kids up. i dont see it being a big infraction, they can always look it up, ...

Re: new rifle selection choices

I’m up near Frisco. I will admit the 6.5cm has gotten my attention. But I won’t ever be shooting it far enough to matter. I’ve looked into the ar10. The smith and Wesson is at the top of my list cause I own the 556 version. But from what I’ve read they usually only group 2moa. Ideally since my scope...

Re: new rifle selection choices

the 270 is harsher than the 308? i figured it would be flipped the other way?

im not terribly concerned with availability as i dont get to shoot a whole lot its pretty much a hunting season and sight in rifle, with a few range trips every few months. not a regular shooter

Re: Shield owners- help!

I personally enjoy the sentimental ness of high mileage products. Whether it be tools or vehicles. If I shot an extractor out of a gun I’d fix it and keep it going in the rotation. Take pride in the wear and tear!

Re: Do Not make a company aware of their non-compliant signs!

I don’t seem to fathom how someone can tell a store owner what they need to do to allow patrons not to carry. That’s some California logic.
