Re: Well I earned another badge of honor today....

TAM, you -- a man -- called a female Progressive darling a name, and one deriding her sexual curiosity. Such behavior is hurtful and simply won't be tolerated -- unless it is Progressives doing the name calling against anything/anyone that stands for Conservative values, of course.

Re: .22 cal LR not reliable for SD, is a .380?

I'd wager that the vast majority of us have exactly zero experience using a firearm in an SD situation, so I am happy to hear from anyone who has. That said, like most of us here, I base my primary defensive firearm choices on what is now commonly seen as truth -- that shot placement of a sufficient...

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

I also firmly believe that we do need to regulate gun ownership more than is the current standard. Speaking just of the Texas LTC process I think both the written and proficiency tests were pretty much a joke and definitely need to be made far more difficult. You and I will have to agree to disagre...

Re: Should Congress End Qualified Immunity for Police Officers?

This is one of the few things for which I think new Legislation would perhaps be a good answer. Generally speaking, there are already plenty of laws on the books. In this case, it would be a law born of judicial activism.

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

Sen. Cruz has an image problem. He simply doesn't come across as especially likable -- perhaps due to the fact that in most rooms he might actually be the smartest person, and he knows it. That said, he has principles and appears to make decisions primarily based on those principles. This is charact...

Re: California stops sale of NRA liability insurance

This is just California following New York's lead. Clearly the NRA insurance product they are banning is insurance to benefit the gun owner. In contrast, what they want is insurance to benefit the recipients of potentially launched projectiles, whether it benefits the gun owner or not. They have arg...

Re: Proposal to stop calling Alamo defenders ‘heroic’

The real thrust of the proposal is eliminating the whole idea that anyone can act heroically. To recognize actions as heroic implies that some ideas and values are more important to a healthy society than others might be and are worth going to extremes to uphold and defend. Progressives are waging w...

Officer Fires AR at Houston Hobby Airport

Officer Fires AR at Houston Hobby Airport... http://www.newslocker.com/en-us/region/houston/houston-police-officer-mistakenly-fires-ar-15-at-hobby-airport-baggage-claim/view/ It'll be interesting to see follow-up reports on this one. I figure the gun was probably loaded (as it should be), off SAFE (...

Re: Officer Invades Apartment, Shoots Resident

I agree that what has been reported is rather hard to believe. If the officer gained entry because the door was unlocked (assuming no signs of tampering) why did she not take that as a first clue to her mistaken assumption that the apartment was hers. If the officer gained entry with a key, why did ...

Re: Can we now just admit the left wants to eliminate the Bill of Rights?

Since the Bill of Rights Amendments to our Constitution recognizes individual rights rather than the rights of the Collective or Government, it seems plain to me that Leftists by whatever name have elimination of the Bill of Rights as a central goal.

If there are two detection devices and the beams cross, will the person being scanned explode?
Crossing the streams would be very bad... total annihilation, the end of the world as we know it!!

Re: Crooked bank teller

Just as there are folks out there who wouldn't bat an eyelash at taking someone else's life, there are those who are all too ready to relieve someone else of their wealth and/or goods. We live in a fallen world and this example is just one more pointing to that fact. Always prepare to act in defense...

"Autonomous Brown Berets" -- Does Antifa have a different dress code in OK compared to the rest of the country, or are they emulating their decidedly non-antifa forebears, the National Socialist Brown Shirts?

My son had a ball, shooting his plastic army men.
Now that you mention it, I seem to recall enjoying shooting at the little plastic army men as well.
