Re: Recently moved to another state, but still get mail at t

I reckon Galveston to The Woodlands is near 75 miles so it depends how you define the metropolitan area. Anyhow, back to JeepGuy79, if he files an Arkansas resident income tax return, probably best if his licenses match up. As Keith said, it's just $25 and some paperwork to change his Texas CHL to h...

He sounds like a physically imposing man. Great disparity in size and strength would give her more justification.

Re: Contradicting Postings?

If a main entrance has a legal sign to carry but the side entrance of the same build is properly marked what then? Hotel in Dallas has this issue. I can provide pics if need but surely everyone knows what the legal sign and illegal to carry signs are or can google them. What is a legal to carry sig...

It sounds like his mother is responsible for the property taxes no matter if he lives there or his grandparents live there.

Re: Blue training guns for sale

In any event, this has reached another milestone. Rule 13 says, "To avoid "for sale' threads from becoming stale, all threads will be locked and moved to the Closed section one month after the first post."

Stories like this make me happy I have a Utah license.
Can you point out the verdict? I missed it.
I missed it too but somehow it seems the OP may not carry (de facto guilty) even though there's no guilty verdict.

Yeah. You need to get a CHL.

Remember that 46.15(b)(1) only applies "in the actual discharge of official duties as a member of the armed forces"

Re: AD's don't just happen

Blame is not the same as negligence. So true. People are also usually to blame when they do something intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly. Back to the subject of accidental discharges, when NTSB calls most crashes "accidents" instead of "pilot error" I'm willing to reconside...

Re: Violate Promise to Appear

If you took care of it, I would list it on the application with the associated documents showing that. Some people say it's not required for C misdemeanors but I would hate for the DPS check to turn up an old warrant and not know what it was for. If you didn't take care of it, I would do that before...

Re: Had to prove a "movie" point to my kids

I really don't think it is a fair comparison. I disagree. Anybody who chooses to remake a movie should expect it to be compared to the original and if it doesn't measure up, they deserve more criticism rather than less. A bad remake of The Breakfast Club would deserve more scorn than some random ba...

Re: Scenario where off duty cop is in a situation with BG's

Consider an off duty officer (unarmed) faces down several BG's either in a convenience store or restaurant situation are you allowed to pass him your weapon to control the situation? Yes it's allowed but several people including retired LEO have explained why it's probably a bad idea. Or must you s...
