Re: California Move to Restrict Deadly Force

For example, if I wake up at 3 AM to the sound of glass breaking and turn the corner to see a man in my house, I would think that would meet the "necessary" standard. If it does not, then I agree that this standard is overly strict. I may be wrong, but the way I read it is that unless deadly force ...

I never understood why some people need to bump an old thread to add false information.
Well. Now I feel a right ID10T for responding. I saw his new response and assumed (my bad) that it was a new thread. :???:

Re: "Brandishing" law or prior cases?

It's really pretty simple. If you have a lawful use of force but not deadly force drawing your weapon would be a crime. As noted by rob777 above, this is not entirely correct. PC §9.04. THREATS AS JUSTIFIABLE FORCE. The threat of force is justified when the use of force is justified by this chapter...

Re: TX: The mean interstate near Waco

Good grief. I ride through there a couple times a year on my Harley. I can't even imagine what kind of damage that would do to a biker.

TAM, I both love you and hate you right now. I've wanted a .45-70 for years and this one's a beaut. But sadly, I can't afford it.

Seriously though, my friend, good luck with the sale.

Are there that many stupid-deluded voters in America or are there that many stay-at-home on election day, non-voters in America? Somethings gotta' change or America will go down the tubes in your kids and grandkids' lives.....if not sooner.
In a word.... Yes.

That’s not actually “new”. I saw that story on Twitter 2 weeks ago, before her anti Semitic rant.
Which one? SHe's been spouting off since before she was elected.

Re: Houston Tx, man escapes police custody transport

Incredible. Did not know authorities were using "private transport" to move around defendants charged with murder. Guards went in for some food when the prisoner escaped. Homer Simpson comes to mind. Hope they soon find the escapee. When I was the General Manager of a non-emergency medical transpor...

Re: CHL Denial Question

Keith, are you sure? I'm genuinely curious. I have a friend who used to have a CHL. He plead guilty to a Class B (5 year disqualification) in order to receive deferred adjudication. This included 2 years probation. The disposition date is July, 2014. So he can apply again after July 2019 (5 years f...

He should have allowed Nancy to take that flight she wanted. Then just cancel the return flight. That would help a lot more. "rlol" Never happen though. PDT has too much class to do it. But he's not above trolling the heck out of them! Incidentally, it wasn't just Pelosi. He cancelled ALL non-essen...

Re: CHL Denial Question

Infoman is correct. it is from the Judgement final disposition date, not the end of your probation period. It is possible that the 1 year probation was a period where if you stayed clean for that period, then they completely expunged your record. In that case if you applied while inside the 1 year ...

Re: Unfair to use an AR-15 against would-be burglars?

My dad (Pawpaw for those who don't know) always taught me, "If you find yourself in a fair fight.... You're doing it wrong." Those words and the sentiment has served me well all my life.
