Re: The city of Southmayd.

Do we have links to those court cases? I'd like to send them to a friendly neighborhood sheriff in my home town where the county buildings are posted.

Re: Rainy day. Decided I had too much money. Had a holster made for my large model 28

Could very well be. It's a 629-1 circa 1981/1982. I lucked into it at the DFW Cabelas several years back. It's done very well for me after I spent a few hours cleaning all the lead from the barrel. I really need to get a better holster for it for the rare times I want to carry it. It's been nice to ...

Ahh, I did the reverse with my 629. It came with the old style pachmayr rubber grips, but they've aged from rubber into rock and tended to pinch along the seam when firing. I replaced them with a set of Miculek's competition grips which have been quite nice.

As Springerfan mentions, get it. It won't be your last though. They are highly addictive.

Re: Shotgun Smith Recommendations

Dropped off the old girl this morning. Pricey :) could have picked up a new Browning on just the deposit. We’ll see how it turns out later this year. Clean & Inspect to start. Then bring the steel back to a satin polish & re-blue (slow rust). New stock (the one on it is incorrect and damaged). Strip...

Shotgun Smith Recommendations

Hi folks, I brought home the family shotgun recently. It’s just an old Stevens pump so worth more sentimentally than financially. That said, it’s about 90 years old and spent most of those years out on the farm and so could use a good bit of TLC on the finish and furniture. Do y’all have any recomme...

Re: What is your favorite carry revolver

I run trail boss loads quite a bit in my 629. They are a ton of fun for plinking.

Re: Anti-Gun bias is destroying people’s faith in journalism

Hard not to agree with the thread subject while sitting here in a restaurant downtown waiting for lunch and MSNBC is running a pro gun control story. Apparently they have a new definition for assault rifle: “A military rifle capable of providing a large volume of fire with reasonable accuracy. “ :ro...

Re: Gunmaker Remington can be sued over marketing of rifle used in Sandy Hook shooting, court rules

And to take the analogy further, if the Manufacturer can be sued over the marketing content, would not that also open up the Advertising company that designed the Ads and the Media companies that carried them? I think the more accurate relation would be, could a family sue Annheiser Busch, Jim Beam,...

I can confirm that a .44 mag loaded using Trail Boss makes for a heck of a plinking load in a lever gun. :fire

Re: HB 1172 - Felony for 3D Printed Firearms

I agree that it's intentional since it would include major manufacturers who routinely utilize such devices in their processes and not just guys in their homes with a $500 home built printer. All those nice billet receivers, cool machined aluminum handguards...or anything else on a firearm made by a...

Re: HB 1172 - Felony for 3D Printed Firearms

Quite bad since the definition of 3D printer in the bill is overly broad and looks like it would include CNC machines as well. "20) "Three-dimensional printer" means a device capable of producing a three-dimensional object from a digital model."".
