Dropped off the old girl this morning. Pricey :) could have picked up a new Browning on just the deposit.

We’ll see how it turns out later this year.

Clean & Inspect to start. Then bring the steel back to a satin polish & re-blue (slow rust). New stock (the one on it is incorrect and damaged). Strip the fore end. Clean up the checkering (and checker the new stock). Refinish the wood to high polish.

Should be better than new when completed and last a few more generations.

Shotgun Smith Recommendations

Hi folks,

I brought home the family shotgun recently. It’s just an old Stevens pump so worth more sentimentally than financially. That said, it’s about 90 years old and spent most of those years out on the farm and so could use a good bit of TLC on the finish and furniture.


Do y’all have any recommendations for a good gunsmith to Go over it, refinish and make it good for another 90 years of family service?
