Re: Shooting at Twin Peaks in Waco

I suspect it's hard to discern friendly fire from bad guy fire. There has to be some bad actors involved. No chance everyone is innocent. Absolutely ! There is also no chance that everyone there was guilty of a crime either. That's where the whole situation got tainted. The DA arrived on the scene ...

Not a single successful prosecution? https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2019/04/02/update-waco-twin-peaks-shootout-all-charges-dropped-not-a-single-successful-prosecution/#more-162054 I guess the two that got dropped by police snipers were "successfully prosecuted"? I believe there was testimony ...

Re: Woman calls 911....Get shot

I don't have an issue with someone being investigated or charged refusing to make a statement or testify. I do have an issue with the other officers in the department stonewalling the DA's office and refusing to cooperate or speak to them.

Re: Obamacare was just ruled unconstitutional in Texas

Yes, I have been selling insurance for over 20 years. Medical malpractice claims have been capped in Texas. Medical malpractice premiums are not increasing like many docs and providers would like the general public to believe they are. The reason carriers are willing to pay the higher costs for car...

Re: Dallas Under-Funding Police to the Point Where Life-Threatening Calls Go Unanswered

I just an old hard head on this stuff, If the city made the deal and the people did the jobs for the time required the City should pay up even if the Mayor and council members have to work for Free! :tiphat: The City Employees Pension fund is a totally separate entity from the Police and Fire pensi...

Re: Texas Judge Releases Nearly All Defendants After Losing Re-Election

Not sure that you got my point. We are not at all in disagreement about the judge. However if you think anyone on the blue side of the aisle in Houston/Harris county is going to complain you are mistaken. I got your point, but I disagree with your last statement about "the blue side". Maybe I have ...

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

Not to go off on some off-topic comments but wasn't the increased medicaid spending a sliding scale that after so many years Texas would pick up the majority, not the federal government, and that would break Texas financially? The old carrot and stick and those that took the carrot will receive the...

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

We are mired in the muck we are in with creeping Collectivism, exploding Debt, and partisan politics because the tendency you note for men to be corrupted produced career-politicians instead of citizen legislators as our Founding Fathers wanted. The career politicians, the Political or Ruling Class...

That's great but both of your positions are significantly different than infoman's. I'm curious about what dem positions makes him want to vote dem when one of their primary positions is contrary to the 2nd Amendment and what this forum is about. Instead they come up with divisive "non-issues" to p...

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

A well stated position Steve, and one I'm closely aligned with. I vote for the individual candidate, not the party. There are plenty of idiots and imbeciles to go around in every political party and I try my best to vote against them regardless of their party affiliation. :tiphat:

Re: Texas gets away with highway robbery

Oh I agree about the registration tax as well. I also hate they make us pay for inspections. I understand why the inspections are there and to a degree it makes sense. But you just have to follow the dollar and the real reasons usually show up. The State is constantly looking for ways to raise more...
