Trying to Find a Holster for My New Sig P226 SAO Elite

I'm having trouble finding an IWB holster that will work with my newest purchase. I just bought a Sig P226 Elite that is SAO (model number NS E26R-9-BSE-SAO). My favorite type of IWB holster is a Comp-Tac CTAC holster but they don't make one for the Sig P226 Elite pistols. When I called Comp-Tac to ...

If he's so pro-gun why does he donate to Sen. Chuck Schumer?

Re: Thoughts On Foreign Trained MD's

One impact I've seen in my own family (my father is a practicing OBGYN/doctor) is that the influx of foreign doctors lowered the wages of many doctors here long before Obamacare due to insurance agencies. Basically a doctor from some foreign country would open some crappy OBGYN office in a strip ...

Re: Littoral "Combat" Ships...Bargain, Death Trap, or Both?

You guys realize there hasn't been a surface engagement between a US Navy ship and a foreign enemy ship since WWII right? Well, actually there was one. The USS Simpson blew an Iranian gunboat out of the water in 1988. Other than that you guys want to spend a ton of extra money on a boats that can ...

While it's a serious situation I saw this on Facebook and thought it was hilarious. Those who were in the military will get it, I'm sure.

Re: OC and CC gun grabs

I see this as a problem with many untrained/uninformed people who choose to OC. I think most will probably go about life with no issues but some will eventually have one. The ones I'm thinking of are those who use a cheap holster that has no retention with a regular every day belt. By nature of the ...

Re: Concealed carry in FRANCE?

I saw this on Drudge Report's Facebook feed a few days ago and someone on there, who claimed to speak a little french, said that the man identified himself as a police officer or possibly some kind of military police officer. The person was upfront that they were not fluent but that they were pretty ...

Re: Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base and Concealed Carry

JM, the entire old Ellington AFB is now the property of the city of Houston, the us government leases the property for the Joint Reserve Base, this portion falls under the Federal Provision and you cannot carry there hence the name Joint Reserve Base same as you cannot carry a weapon on Lackland ...

Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base and Concealed Carry

Recently all Air and National Guard units were issued a memo stating that carry on guard property was authorized and were even issued guidelines on when and where they can carry, as well as the units responsibilities for dealing with concealed carry. I was in the National Guard years ago and my wife ...

Re: Houston has a new liberal mayor by 4000 votes

I live just outside the Houston city limits on the Northwest side of town. I hope and pray that we never get annexed as I'm certain that the only thing that would happen is my taxes would go up drastically while my civil services went down. As it is the county doesn't do much of anything except take ...

Re: Who's Now Keeping A Truck Rifle/Carbine?

I keep a Winchester 30-30 behind the back seat of my truck in a cheap gun bag. I have it secured with a padlock to the child seat mounts on the back wall of the cab. I can get it out and ready to go in about 20 - 30 seconds from being in the front seat to having it ready to go. It's not a fancy AR ...

New hard-wired air compressor for the shop....or the FNH....decisions, decisions...! :biggrinjester:

I've owned both and I'd go with the air compressor. I bought a used Champion R15B mounted on an 80 gallon tank with a 5 hp motor. It pushes18.5 CFM at 150 PSI. I paid $198 for a used military one ...

Re: Shooting while pregnant

I asked my Dad about this when my wife was pregnant with our twins. He is an OBGYN and has been practicing for almost 40 years. He was head of L&D for St Lukes in the Woodlands, a partner in the oldest OBGYN office in Montgomery County, and president of Texas Association of Obstetrician's and ...
