Re: Houston's Ben Taub Hospital Evacuated, Reports of Active Shooter Situation

False flag operation? Aren't the phone numbers of calls placed to 911 logged? Seems multiple people should be getting visit from police about the call made from their phone. Unless they were all internal hospital numbers, but still with all the video surveillance you would think it could be easy to...

Re: Houston's Ben Taub Hospital Evacuated, Reports of Active Shooter Situation

Both HPD Chief Art Acevedo and Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzales (both left-leaning new additions to the area) were on scene. Unsubstantiated reports--mind you, this what one one-the-scene reporter said someone had told him, but he had no firsthand interview--said that a man became agitated and upse...

Re: WTB Judge or Governor

We need to consider Diz for vice president of marketing. I can't remember anyone ever getting so many free bumps so quickly for a WTB topic.

BTW, folks, he's looking for a S&W Governor or Taurus Judge. ;-)

Re: WTB Judge or Governor

You can give up on buying a Governor in Texas, it just isn't going to happen. It was possible a long while back, but not now. In Harris County, it was very difficult to find a Judge to buy at any price, but that's probably going to change. The Democrats won all judicial races in November, so the ma...

Re: Houston's Ben Taub Hospital Evacuated, Reports of Active Shooter Situation

This whole situation and response is fascinating. For those unfamiliar with the Houston Medical Center--the largest in the world, BTW, not just in the U.S.--you can only imagine the massive scale of such a rapid LE mobilization and large hospital evacuation. Even the TV coverage really didn't do jus...

Re: Houston's Ben Taub Hospital Evacuated, Reports of Active Shooter Situation

Acevedo's second press briefing: second search is complete. No evidence of any shots fired. He was quick to respond to a reporter's question by saying that he was not saying no shots were fired; what he was saying was that he is certain that, if there was a threat, it is not present now. Hospital op...

Re: Houston's Ben Taub Hospital Evacuated, Reports of Active Shooter Situation

HPD Chief Art Acevedo spoke to press and said that at 13:58 multiple 911 calls came in reporting an active shooter. More than one of those reports described a bald, white male of unknown age as the shooter. First search of hospital completed; no evidence of any victim. SWAT and K9 teams conducting s...

Houston's Ben Taub Hospital Evacuated, Reports of Active Shooter Situation

Developing story: http://abc13.co/2kWoJUg. However, no suspect found and no evidence that anyone has been shot. Police response is massive, other hospitals on lockdown, and all of Ben Taub being evacuated.

Re: Houston West Quadrant Breakfast

I can't make it this Saturday; will try in the future. But I do like the Rudy's location on I-10 near South Mason. It isn't next door for me up on the northwest side, but for a westside meet that's about as good a spot as you can get: between Katy and the Energy Corridor right on the freeway, making...

The other is a S&W 500 Mag. I have it just because. Maybe the BG is hiding behind the refrigerator........at my neighbors house. Skiprr: "Hey, RP! I heard you bought a Barrett 82A1. Is it the .50 BMG?" RPBrown: "Yep. Never even considered the .416." Skiprr: "Long barrel...

Wow. A blast from the past. I got to shoot a .44 Auto Mag exactly once, in the late 80s. It was a hoot to shoot, but it was one of those rare firearms I never thought about owning. Can you even get ammo for 'em any longer?

Re: Why I like revolvers over semi-autos

You can get revolvers in some hefty hunting loads like .454 Casull and .500 S&W Magnum.

They're pretty active on Facebook. They hold a festival every summer called Porc Fest with a porcupine as the mascot. There is even a real estate agent associated with the movement and they have a moving guide. They also have a housing and a job page on Facebook. On another note I had seen a simila...
