Re: Watch Where You Walk

Off topic, but on one of the shows about Texas game wardens (it is a series), someone killed a rattlesnake beside their house and put the picture on line. Turned out, it was an endangered timber rattlesnake, and I think the fine was $1000. Just sayin' I remember that episode. They investigated to s...

There wasn't a choice for me, as I was a conservative Democrat (yes there were conservatives in the Democrat Party back then). I changed to the Republican Party with Reagan.
I remember there were a lot of Democrats for Reagan.

Re: What were your political leanings at 18 years old?

I was apolitical until my third year in the Air Force when Carter became president and stopped the B1 bomber. I've been a conservative ever since.

Re: Sheila Jackson Lee: House members will have to flood the Senate floor

That woman is not okay. She really needs to be checked into a special kind of hospital. Her! What about the cretins who vote for her? I am sure many of them have been dead for years. Dead people are always democrats. A little gerrymandering helps as well. My parents voted Republican until the day t...

Re: Killeen Newspaper Poll

No waiting periods. Period I've given 'waiting periods' considerable thought over the years and can only come up with a single situation where it 'might' be beneficial and that is in cases where a person is distraught and wants to end their life (suicide) that very day. It is possible that with the...

Am I the only one here thinking: "if you can't control your emotions, you should not carry a deadly weapon"? :banghead:

(flame suit on)
I agree. It's hard to deescalate when your emotions are getting worked up.

Re: Killeen Newspaper Poll

I might be misunderstanding the meaning and intent of the poll. We already have a MANDATORY universal background check for purchasing firearms. It goes through the FBI. In which case, the poll makes 0 sense to me. And it seems a little biased with not exactly an exhaustive list of options for answe...

Re: Killeen Newspaper Poll

I voted number 3 in the poll. I thought it was the most valid answer even though I would have preferred to say... No, the only way to enforce such a law is through a national registry, which could lead to gun confiscation.

Re: Ted Cruz Accepts Alyssa Milano’s Challenge to Debate Gun Violence

I couldn't find where anybody had posted the "debate", so here it is. Not much of a debate. Alyssa did very little speaking, except to continually ask for a UBC. Ted Made good points, but I doubt it got through to her. It wasn't a surprise that she brought reinforcement to do her speaking for her. h...
