Re: Wife: I prefer to live in the "lala" land

Reading these posts makes me appreciate my wife. While she doesn't agree with everything I do as far as my chl she went to the same class and got hers when I did. She carries everyday. I work out of town and she saw that there was a need for protecting the kids as well as herself. She doesn't do as ...

Re: Iconic S&W Rimfire Revolver

I have a pre 1950 4 screw that still has the trigger over travel stop. It is finicky about what it shoots well but you will love it. :cheers2:

Re: Revolver recommendations

One of my best friends is a high end custom pistol smith, I sent him the link to see what he thinks. I have no knowledge of this line except that I hear their pistols are good.

Re: Revolver recommendations

If you are not going to shoot lots of rounds then most anything from Rossi or Taurus will work though the new ones aren't the quality they use to be. If you think there will be lots of rounds being shot downrange then the Ruger is the way to go. They are almost impossible to kill. I prefer old pre-l...

Even a no knock raid they identify them selves when they go thru the door. I am afraid that as times digress we will see more and more of this. :nono:

Re: Shooting a S&W .44 Magnum

A bit of thread drift, but the most recoil I ever felt was shooting factory loads with a friend's Thompson Contender in 44Mag. It was painfull. Everytime you pulled the trigger it felt like someone hit your hand with a 2X4. I shot a couple of rounds just for the experience. When he was finished, le...

Re: Just looking for others opinions

If I were you,ask security, explain your situation and tell them you would provide a lock box to keep it in while you are in the plant. The most they can do is tell you no and exercise their right to search you for a while to make sure you aren't carrying. If they will allow it then you are set.

Re: Better Half Getting CHL

I scheduled my class after not having a chl for 4 years and my new wife said she wanted a chl as well. She had never showed any interest before this so I had not trained her. The instructor put a 1911 in her hand and she shot well, for her first time. Now she owns 3 and is improving every time she s...

A few weeks ago my 8 year old daughter who has austism got to shoot her first pistol, with dad's help of course. It was a 4 screw k-frame .22. Re: What to carry?

One of my carry is a 3" 65 with a bobed hammer in a Stoner paddle with a vest , never have been hassled yet wearing it. I just bought Stoner's shoulder hostler which is a belly band that rides where a shoulder hostler rides and you just have to wear a tee-shirt over it. The verdict is still out but ...

Re: CHL Instructor Qualification - Revolver

If I were you borrow a semi-auto to shoot the course, then you may carry ether semi or wheelgun ( revolver for the young ones). If you shoot a wheelgun you may only carry a wheelgun. Do your qualification then carry what you are good with.
