Re: TN: 67 year old woman CHL approached by strange man in Walmart parking lot

This guy may have been up to no good, and it's not like you ever get all the info from the press, but walking within 10 feet of someone is just not cause to display a weapon. "He scared me" isn't a reason either. What scared you? What actions made you feel he was a threat. Was there some reason he m...

Re: Rancher defending his bull, dies in deputy shootout

Something else I just read was that both cops and the rancher reportedly fired their weapons and one cop had an injury related to a shot fired at him. Since this is the only time I have heard this I'm taking it with a grain of salt but it would change the scenario if true.

Re: Rancher defending his bull, dies in deputy shootout

http://www.legislature.idaho.gov/idstat/Title25/T25CH21SECT25-2118.htm That's the law.....seems like the rancher had taken control quite well and the Deputies did not approve. Why post something that absolutly doesn't say what you claim? That links to a law that say a rancher doesn't have a duty to...

Re: Gun lawsuit dismissed in Temple

Where did I insult you? Don't point out where I gave my opinion about your comments but point out specifically where I insulted you. I have several things running through my head regarding your passive aggressive sarcastic comment Your government, police and legal system are always right arguments ...

Re: Gun lawsuit dismissed in Temple

The emotional toll is just one component. I made that very clear. What about the money and time the person is out? How much do you as a government employee have to kick in when you lose a case and can't prove the defendant is guilty? What does the DA or ADA lose when they chose to prosecute a case ...

Re: Gun lawsuit dismissed in Temple

I would say that while anything can be abused there is also a real public benefit to being able to convict people who are guilty of crimes. In this case I think there was major benefit for not letting CJ claim victory when there was a hung jury. Well he claimed it but that was more than a bit trash...

Re: Rancher defending his bull, dies in deputy shootout

I think a video from either a body or dash camera would be very helpful in determining what actually happened. Maybe I need to re-read the articles but I just don't get the impression the rancher had the intent to use his gun to inflict harm on the cops or other people. It also appears some bad jud...

Re: Poor Sales People

I have to disagree with everyone who says .40 is harder to control then .45 - My experience has been quite the opposite. Granted my first handgun was a .40 and that's what I learned to really shoot pistols with, but I find the .45 to be a noticeable bit more kick to it, enough that I prefer to shoo...

Re: Gun lawsuit dismissed in Temple

And one juror could vote to convict, while 11 vote to acquit. I'm not talking about the Grisham case, I'm talking about a seriously flawed jury system. Yes, jurors can and do ignore the evidence, as well as the lack of evidence. If the prosecution cannot pick a good jury, then that's their fault. T...

Re: Rancher defending his bull, dies in deputy shootout

The vehicle driver is liable for damages. It would be ashamed to have a Deputy like VOR who would enforce his own version of the law and not the actual law. I was a deputy and human life is more valuable than any property or livestock. Period. Your opinion. Period No the law says that in that situa...
