Re: Too Nice to Shoot...

Unless a gun was purchased specifically as a collectors item or for a collection of some sort, I'd shoot them all. I don't abuse them and would take special care of the pretty blued ones (say an S&W M29), but they are made to shoot.

Re: TT Holsters

I have one of their IWB's for my M&P full-sized and it is my go-to holster for EDC. Very comfortable and nicely made, even though I didn't opt for the exotic leathers.

Re: Ruger American

Sounds interesting. I guess light isn't as important as "crisp" or "clean" though.............

Really?
I went and checked my manuals and you're right, they're .451 for .45LC. I must have been thinking about throat sizes in some older gun. My bad.

Re: Great service from Alien Gear Holsters pic added

I agree. With the ability to adjust the tension/retention and replace the kydex shell while using the same backing leather how can you go wrong with spending $30 on a new holster?!

Re: Missouri Bullets .45 ACP special

Weird, I've had no problems at all using the truncated cone SWC in my .45s. They've worked successfully in my SW1911PD, Springfield and Les Baer 1911 .45s.

But no, they won't work in the .45LC as I think the .45 LC wants .454 sized bullets but the .45 ACP is .451-2.

Re: Ruger American

How was the trigger? I've read some reviews (albeit older ones) that complained that the trigger wasn't very good. I'm tempted to look into one of these rifles but nothing has pushed me "over the edge" yet.

Missouri Bullets .45 ACP special

If anyone is looking for .45 ACP bullets, this might be an option for you. Apparently a retail location placed an order for something like 80K bullets but then went under. They're placing these bullets on sale until they're gone. http://www.missouribullet.com/details.php?prodId=189&category=17&secon...

This massive flare was all bogus. It is referenced in the first paragraph/article on Space Weather, http://www.spaceweather.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: The wait is finally over!

Just don't be in my way when I come out to shoot.............j/k. :biggrinjester: Congrats on getting into the club. It's nice to have a place where you can actually draw from the holster and shoot faster than one shot per second. Now you'll have to come out to some of the various matches that take ...

Re: Any 9mm/.45 powder

Went by Bass Pro in Garland and they had exactly *zero* canisters of powder on their shelves. Not sure why I even went there seeing how spartan everything is. Fortunately, I'm good for 9mm/.45 stuff.
