Open Carry in the Texas Heat

Open carry would be great. Concealed Carry has it''s place as well. I don't care if people would be upset. The sheeple's attempts to keep me disarmed upset me. I don't like to be upset, especially by those who use their rights to infringe on mine. The second ammensment does not distinguish between o...

Wife's New Carry Piece

I just ordered my wife her new carry handgun, a S&W 642. She really hates semiautos, and she really liked the revolver when she shot it at the range. She shot the Lady Smith version, but she picked out the standard model on-line. It was 130 bucks cheaper than the LS. Makes no sense to pay more for 1...

Old Buzz Phrases.

The proper "benchmark" would be for employees to be allowed to pack their 1911 (or whatever) on their hip. Sure would relieve stress and reduce workplace violence. My wife knows that if I something - anything - happens to me at work, the lawsuit will make anything before look like a JP court action....

Online Firearms Purchases

I have bought eight or nine pistols online without an issue. There are rip-offs, but the sites generally offer sdvice and if you follow it your purchase will be painless. I actually prefer to buy on-line'cause you can save enough on tax on a premium firearm to pay for the firearms transfer and then ...

Always Ready

Kimber & Springfield 1911 cocked and locked - "Condition One".

Kel-Tec DAO all calibers - round chambered. Pull trigger and it goes bang.

Loaded clips always in mag holder and/or pocket.

Also, really sharp knife in pocket.

You have to be ready to rock and roll when it counts the most.

Taking Furniture He Wasn't Supposed to Take?

I do not believe I would have put myself in that position. You might have ended up on the wrong side of the legal system if something had happened. IANAL, but you did mention your spideysense. Maybe you should have heeded your senses. You packed into her crib. He is taking stuff he isn't supposed to...

Being Safe at Work

When are employers going to be held accountable for the safety of their workers? The workplace violence provisions OSHA has in place are bull. One of the largest workplace related injury is violence related, and more women die at work from violence than all other work related incidents. The law abid...

Florida CCW

I sent in my Florida app after my Texas. Had to resubmit my FL 'cause FBI couldn't read prints. FL commisioner Charles Bronson (really!) sent me a nice letter apologizing for the FBI and said they would issue my FL on-time even if FBI did not respond to reprints. Received my Fl before my TX. Just fo...

You Have Good Taste

I ee you already have several Kimbers. Most of your handgubs have a place on you hip. How 'bout a nice AR with rails and lights, and a laser, and optics, and 30 round clips and lots and lots of ammo to shoot!

Webster PD

They are top-notch. Never been stopped, but know a lot of Webster folk. Don't speed through Webster. They have radar going somewhere all the time. I drive a lot slower since I received my CHL. May sound ridiculous, but I really do not want to draw attention to myself in a stop. Seems strange to clai...

Church Carry

I only carry my full size handguns to church when I can really conceal with heavier coats. My normal carry at church is a Kel-Tec P3AT in a DeSantis Pocket Nemesis. It is extremely easy to draw from Docker style pants. I don't wear jeans to church, but it works well in loose fitting jeans too. I am ...
