Stats on legal firearm use

I am trying to find out if there is any kind of stats on legal firearm use in the United States. This would any firearm instance where they used it to defend themselves or others legally. I tried searching the forum but was unable to find anything. I also have not been able to find anything on googl...

Re: This Day In Texas History - June 03

Gotta say pretty impressive. 20 rangers took over three ships. I know it must take a bit of time to pull together all these facts. We appreciate it and keep it up.

Re: Lone Star college "guns on campus" open forum

The survey they did after the fact had 36% of 671 people in favor of chl holders to carry on campus. 60% did not support campus carry. This survey to my knowledge was for the kingwood campus. I do not know the outcome for the other campuses. Also in their LSCS Trustee meeting a resolution was adopted...

Re: I'm lucky not to be shot.

Leather, nylon or Kydex? None of my kydex holsters would do this, especially those with a retention screw like my Comp-tac Infidel. If you have not already, spend the money on good polymer holsters. Stays open to reholster better, resists sweat and oils better, allows for better retention options l...

I'm lucky not to be shot.

First lets get a little background out of the way. I was going to help out a friend pick up a washer and dryer from a web posting. I felt it best to go ahead and have my carry weapon in the center console of his truck since I would be doing some heavy lifting. This friend is a military veteran with ...

I am not exactly sure with that. But I did find out that the kingwood campus is also holding one this monday(3/30/15) from 7-9pm at the scc building. Fortunately I will be able to make that one.

Lone Star college "guns on campus" open forum

The Houston Lone Star college system is holding a open forum on campus carry on March 31st from 2pm-4pm. The event will be held at the Lone Star Cyfair campus in the college center. To my knowledge it is open to the community for everyone to attend if you desire to. The college has been advertising ...

Need information on knife laws

So randomly a thought popped into my head :hurry:. Is it illegal to carry a pocket knife on you while drinking at a bar? I have never heard of anything on this topic but I figured with how various things become illegal once you start drinking this may be one of them. If it is then I have been breaki...

Re: WV: Pharmacist kills armed robber

A .45 at that short of a range I would anticipate it would go all the way through. I agree, the glass behind him changes. The only other explanation that I can think of is the camera reacting to the muzzle flash. I do not think it would the muzzle flash because it does not return back to normal eve...

Re: Abbott's emergency items

I'm not exactly familiar with how this process works. Seeing as they are "emergency items" will they be given priority over other issues? I just wouldn't want to see favorable legislation be pushed back because of it.

My daily carry. A Glock 23 Gen 4 with a Triple T Holster. Then no matter where I am at I always have some kind of pocket knife on me.

Re: WV: Pharmacist kills armed robber

I may just be seeing things but right after the first shot it seemed like the window was hit. The bottom right side of the window changes kind of drastically. Even after the shooting stops it never returns to normal. The Pharmacist definitely hit the target on the first shot so did it go through the...

Re: Link to Today's TX Senate Hearing On SB11 and SB 17 (2-1

Gotta say it was definitely interesting watching one of these. I have never actually watched this process before so thank you for posting that link.

It sounded like most of the teachers, that testified, expect their chl students to turn the classroom into a blood bath...
