Re: Range membership advice

I just spoke to Derk the owner. He said, there is no issue, come and shot. He has some type of RFD card he gives to members. He offered me a free day at the range. I plan on taking the wife.

Re: Range membership advice

I paid for the use of the property. The business cashing my check gives me that right. Heck, I would have been there every weekend. The owner not calling me back and not having a card; does not prevent me from spending time with my love one, for something I paid for. Hell, I would have drove over th...

Re: New LTC newbie

You need to wait about 60 days before calling. Calling everyday or once week is not going to speed the process up. Mine took 45 days back in the Spring of 2015. Good luck!!!

Re: What would you do?

I witnessed a similar incident at Ray's Sporting Goods last summer. A guy walked in, approached the sales person at the front counter. He said, he was looking for a holster to fit a gun. He showed the sales person the gun and of course said, " it's not loaded"! The sales person directed him to the h...

Re: Keeping gun in holster

First of all, I only CC. However, for those that chose to OC. Tell him if he really wants to see one, rent it at a range or go to a gun store. If he is what he say he is, then he would not ask a fellow gun owner to show their gun in his place of business period. Just my 2 dimes.

Re: What brought you to getting your CHL/LTC

I am 53, and have had a Browning Hi Power since 1990. My friends parents were doctors and lawyers who worked in South Dallas, Oak Cliff and carried a pistol to work everyday. It was just a way of life in the city. They never talked about how bad crime was or how they had to patch up someone from a g...

Re: Anyone Own a Glock 42?

I wanted a Glock 42. I took a private lesson and it stove piped everyother round. Did some research and found that it was more than likely the ammo. I ended up getting a XD subcompact 9 mm for the wife and .40 S & W for myself. I added a Glock 23 a few weeks back. I haven't had an issue with any of ...

When to Cinemark 16 in Grand Prairie yesterday. They only post 30.07. I looked everywhere for a 30.06, but could not find one.

Re: My new video about every day carry (YouTube)

Great video! I carry my XD subcompact 40 S & W over my Glock 23. My EDC consists of a knife that's in expensive, as well, and flashlight. I travel international often, so I have a small shoulder bag that holds my knife, flashlight, 2 phones, charges, earBuds and a pen. My bag also, can hold a firear...

Re: Range Etiquette/Rules/Laws

My range states no loaded guns can be brought in if used on the range. I assume loaded means clip in, if it's a semi auto. So, I take my clip out place it in my pocket and place my firearm in my range bag when entering. When I leave, I load my clip and place it in my pocket. My firearm is placed bac...

Re: Tucker Leather HF1

That holster will match the belt that I received from Tucker last month. Had a new addition to the family last week (Glock 23). Must make another donation to Mr. Tucker, very soon.

Re: Holster color coordination

I have only had my LTC for one year and I have a belt and a holster to match my shoes. I do not do it for others, too see or comment. I do it because I was taught to present myself in a nice way. Plus, if my wife can have countless amouts of shoes and only wants to shoot American Eagle 124 gr. I can...

Re: Holster from South Africa

I want to thank, timtheteacher for his post. I ordered 2 holsters ( Springfield Subcompact .40 and Browning Hi Power) and two belts from ROSS GUN. I could not have been more pleased with the speed of delivery, price point, quality and feel of the leather. I also, have a Garret Industries Classic for...
