Re: Open vs concealed; Which is accepted more?

Living in DFW area, I see more 30.07 signs and no signs. I have large hands (my wives hands are medium, she prefers XD 9mm/40 S&W Subcompact or Browning Hi Power), but carry either a Springfield XD Subcompact .40 S & W or Glock 23, OWB, 90% of the time. The holster you consider can impact printing, ...

Re: What's causing American obesity and cardiovascular disease?

The wife and I gave up soft drinks, fast food and have been focusing on healthier lifestyle for 8 years. So, our approach was that if we develop good habits now, it would apart of our lifestyle as we got older. I feel older everyday...

Re: OWB Holster

I agree with Steve on the Tucker or Tucker & Byrd makes a similar product with a shorter wait. Ross Gun in South Africa makes a good OWB at a great price. As for IWB; I am more partial to Garrett Industries. I just like the leather lined kydex products. The Crossbreed type holsters are great. Howeve...

After one year of shooting

I was told that if I got a CHL that I needed to practice. Over the past year I went to the range twice a month. I would go over my targets with my neighbor a retired officer and firearms instructor. I was afraid to go shooting with him. Just did want to make a fool of myself. I finally found a place...

Re: Lookinh for a good holster

I have the SPRINGFIELD subcompact in 9mm and the 40 S&W. Cooler weather the Hidden Hybrid. I can't stand the sweat that it cause in the summer. In the summer I like the Garrett Industries holsters. The Kydex does not let the sweat get to the firearm and the herman oak leather helps keeps the finish ...

Re: storing Gun in truck during work.

I have one of these in my truck and cars. It works great when I go the Mavs game or have to go into a place where I can't carry. The cable is bit stronger than others I looked at and the box is a bit better as well. I was concerned about batteries in some storage boxes, so I went with a key. It fits...

Re: Range membership advice

I just spoke to Derk the owner. He said, there is no issue, come and shot. He has some type of RFD card he gives to members. He offered me a free day at the range. I plan on taking the wife.
