Re: Where do you shop?

I buy a lot of gun parts from http://www.topgunsupply.com, been very happy with their service, and their shipping is crazy fast. I swear half of my orders are at the front door by the time I click submit.

Re: Song stuck in my head

and it is driving me bananas. I have loaded as many types of music on my smart phone as I can from Rock, to Country (hymns with Autoharp and Dulcimer) Western (Sons of The Pioneers) Inca, Classical and more. I decided I wanted some Irish/Celtic music. One of the songs I have is John McDermott “The ...

Re: I need a safe

You are going to be hard pressed to find a gun safe that holds 30-40 rifles that has a steel thickness of 10 gauge or thicker for 2k. The only options at that price is used,or import Chinese of unknown quality,or up the price. In late 2009 I bought an American made American Security BF 66x36 and pa...

Re: safe recommendations

Lastly, as someone mentioned earlier about living in an apartment, I've seen very good reviews of the Zanotti mobile safes. They're a piece together safe that allows for easy assembly/dis-assembly while providing a higher level of protection over a standard gun cabinet. Not that its the best option...

Re: safe recommendations

AMSEC are pretty good safes. You won't be prying one of those bad boys open! Better than average fire protection. Price isn't out of wack due to "name brand" issues. The BF series are pretty good safes. http://www.amsecusa.com/Gun_Safes/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Another vote f...

Re: DFW - Sporting Clays shoot - POSTPONED

And thus the reason sarcasm should be avoided on the internet, it just doesn't come across in text form very well. No, no one was whining and I think Andy's pictures highlighted the fact very well, that unless we all show up in waders, there is no way the shoot was going to happen. My post was a fai...

Re: DFW - Sporting Clays shoot - POSTPONED

What? What's everybody whining about, so you're going to get a little wet, boo hoo! In all honesty postponing sounds good. Murphy struck today as my wife called on my way home, apparently her car didn't want to start when she got to the parking garage. Oh well, looks like a fun weekend for me, tryin...

Re: DFW - Sporting Clays shoot - Sat Jan 28, 10.30am Elm For

As much as I'd like to be upset, with 6" at our place I just can't. First time in a long time the creek out back has had any measurable water running through it. That said if its not a go we should start thinking about a new date. Who knows, maybe it'd allow a bigger turn out.

Re: Best BBQ Joints in TX

Smitty's ( the original Kreuz's) in Lockhart is best I've had anywhere. SMOKED PRIME RIB. Yep, one of my two favorites, the other being City Market in Luling. However, I also have to give high praise to the following: Original Rudy's in Leon Springs Cooper's in Llano Schoepf's in Belton Lon...

Re: minigun VS wild hogs TX

I have to rebuild the roads on our ranch several times a year. Some places are torn up so bad it's hard to ride a 4 wheeler in granny gear over it. Fence repairs and other repairs take money and time. Hogs are a bigger problem than most people realize. It's getting worse every year. I have been rea...
