Re: Remington - new double stack 1911

Saw a video of the gun on YouTube. Looks like it works pretty good. I’ve shot one of the original Para 2011’s and it was fun to shoot but not something I fell in love with like a regular single stack 1911

Re: My Wait Begins...

Congrats and be safe. Just a couple words of advice if I may. Carry everywhere you can and anytime you can legally. Make it a habit. Don’t ever think 🤔 oh it’s only a 5 minute run to the store or taking out the trash nothing bad will happen. 95% of the time that’s right but what about the other 5? I...

Re: .38 Special S&W 640

The S&W 642 would be my choice or the new S&W 380 EZ if you want semi auto. My wife’s gun is the 642 and it has the full size grip on it that smith puts on some of the Ladysmiths. I currently EDC a 642 as well and love it. They do have a heavy trigger though, but in stress it won’t matter. My wife r...

TAM I’m not 100% sure if you can tell completely but here is mine and my wife’s gun. Her grip is taller than mine. I can pocket carry mine easily if I try but your mileage may very

I am! Can’t wait to get out and shoot this thing. Hoping it’s as much of a dandy as it looks.

Re: For those who carry a 5” 1911

Thank you for the chart Charles. Surprisingly to me the full size conceals fairly easily due to the slimness. I have a new stiffer gun belt coming just for when I carry the gun. I have some Wilson combat mags coming as well as flat recoil spring and shock buffs. Once all is in I will take to the ran...

For those who carry a 5” 1911

I plan on carrying my 1911 a few times a month. I have a milt marks VM2 holster and a good gun belt so that’s covered. How do you carry your 1911 full size? I have been trying to get used to it around the house. It’s a huge jump in weight for me considering I carry a lightweight polymer gun or alumi...

Re: Your most “American” gun on this 4th of July

The most American pistol I own is my 1911 My BBQ pistol today is my Smith and Wesson model 642-1. To me the J frame is iconic because of its history. It has been carried by more people and used more times to defend life than any other carry gun. And Smith and Wesson is truly American. I am proud to ...
