Re: Is This True ?

Yes, it is true. That movement got started after they banned guns. Guess what, assaults with knives skyrocketed. Take away the knives and what will they want to outlaw next? Cricket bats? Fists? https://www.intellihub.com/with-knife-murders-spiking-after-gun-ban-uk-urges-save-a-life-surrender-your-k...

Re: Red Dot Magnifiers - Please School Me

I'm really interested in this setup but it looks like $1,000+ investment and I want to get it right. I understand your desire to "get it right." But, when it comes to AR's, customization is what makes them so versatile. What's "right" for one guy may not be right for another. I live way back in the...

Re: Red Dot Magnifiers - Please School Me

I have a EOTech red dot holographic sight on my AR with zero magnification. The benefit is fast target acquisition shooting with both eyes open. You move your eyes to the target and then swing the gun until the dot is in front of the target. With a little practice this is very smooth and very fast. ...

Re: Debating on a new 1911

I am also looking for another 1911. If I could afford the Kimber, that's what I would get. But champagne taste on a beer budget is where I always find myself. I'm also looking at Para, Colt, and Ruger. The Springfield may win out. Whichever you choose, you will enjoy it.

Doing so would mean I have to actually think about him every day and that would make me nauseous.

I don't live anywhere near there. But if I did, I would have eaten there today.

Re: A Matter of Perception

Some people may come to accept open carry but most of the management (and their lawyers) will not. Now, because of open carry, we are getting 30.06 signs to go along with 30.07 signs. Walking around with open carry will never convince the people that control the signs to take them back down once th...

Re: Another casualty of Open Carry

I would LOVE to OC everywhere I go. The fact is, it makes some people uncomfortable. Time may change that, but it will take years, not weeks or months. I want the freedom to exercise my God given rights as much as the next man. But, it's the minds of the masses that have to be won over. In the meant...

Re: Another casualty of Open Carry

The only advantage I see to OC is comfort. You can dress more comfortably. I see lots of disadvantages, and new we are seeing a lot of backlash.

A Matter of Perception

On the way home from work yesterday. I stopped to get gas and went inside for a couple of items. I'm a regular, and the cashier always talks to me. I asked her if she had any customers openly carrying their guns this week. She said no, and she wasn't sure how she would feel about that. I looked at h...

:tiphat: That's the way we should all do it. As long as people look at us like we have flames coming out of our eyes they will never understand. Fear of the unknown is powerful. Bravo sir!! :clapping:

Re: Does Diabetes Disqualify You?

I have a friend who has been talking to me about getting his license. He wanted to know about the process and is thinking about applying. He has been a diabetic since childhood and has to wear an insulin pump on him at all times. I have tried to find a list of medical conditions that would disquali...

Re: A Small WIN!

Good for you. I experienced the opposite. For years my company explicitly allowed CHLs to carry, then just before the holidays, changed policy to prohibit both CC and OC and posted 30.06 and 30.07 signs. I'm sorry to hear that. It's hard to get people to admit that the signs do not make them safer....
