Re: Enhanced LTC

Anybody heard anything about this coming to TX? http://blog.beretta.com/why-arkansass-new-enhanced-concealed-carry-permit-matters-for-all-of-us Appears to me that we can already carry in almost all the areas that AK requires the license for. What areas are you thinking of? That proficiency test loo...

Re: When the movies teach you about bank robbery

I'm still laughing at this part at the bottom; The FBI asks anyone with information about the tunnel or anyone who may have noticed people in the area at night to contact the agency at 754-703-2000. Tips can also be given, anonymously, to Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 or online, at w...

Re: HB 1123 - First Responder Deisgnation on LTC

Can the VESP language be modified to just include PAID first-responders, as well as volunteers? I don't see the reason to designate it on their LTC that they are a paid first responder. The fact that they are carrying out their duties as a first responder, whether volunteer or paid should be suffici...

Re: SB 472 - Owners/Guests/Tenants of Condos cannot be barred from Carrying

So this would allow owners/tennents/guests to legally carry directly between their vehicle and their apartment/condo, without worrying about 30.06/30.07. That part in itself doesn't seem like much. HOWEVER...it also appears to state that landlords may NOT prohibit lawful possession of firearms. That...

and may not regulate the manner in which the handgun, firearm, or ammunition is stored in the vehicle This needs to apply to ALL employer parking lots too, not just schools. There are many companies out there who have rules that say the firearms must be locked, ammo separate, magazines empty, quadr...

Re: CNN at it again - Handguns are more popular in US homes, with deadly consequences for children, study says

https://splinternews.com/you-dont-need-a-handgun-1832124563 Someone took the CNN article, read it, and wrote an opinion piece that is grossly slanted. There are several parts that are factually untrue. You are not going to stop a crime. If you do stop a crime, you will be an extreme outlier to a tr...

Re: Speaker Bonnen's betrayal of Texas gun-owners

Until the session is over, we have nothing to articulate other than we don't like the chairman positions of these committees. I'm still waiting to see what legislation comes from this session before I voice my opinion to my elected officials. If we see increased 2nd amendment liberty, I will be happ...

Could be loophole. Just set up a separate entity and have that entity hold the liquor license. I hope others don't figure this one out. This is why I've asked a few state reps to offer legislation to remove the 51% restriction. It is already illegal to carry while intoxicated. If I'm going to one o...

I actually wore a t-shirt today that said NRA on the front, and "Keep calm and carry guns" on the back. I don't think people gave me a second look, even as I walked through a neighborhood walmart in my area.

I did not read that these people were in the US illegally. Some could have been resident aliens without citizenship. They have still committed a crime by voting illegally though.

Re: Speaker Bonnen's betrayal of Texas gun-owners

While I was disappointed, as many were, to learn of the chair appointment to the Homeland Security and Public Safety committee, there have been no bills heard by any committees. Many good bills were killed quietly under Straus, but there WERE some advances as well. I am willing to be patient and see...
