Welcome aboard!

I've got a 642 and it goes EVERYWHERE with me.
Not a tackdriver, but with a little practice will definitely get the job done.

I recommend it

DP,

I know Cherokee Trace----I pass it on the way to Gilmer.

I've only been here about 1 1/2 years.

PM me next time you visit your folks and I'll put on a pot of coffee.

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a gunsmith in the Pittsburg, Gilmer area that can replace sights and do minor gunsmithing?

TIA

Hi Victor,

I may be wrong, but it looks like a model 19 to me. If so, it's a "K" frame.
Go to http://smith-wessonforum.com/eve and ask there----plenty of Smith buffs there that can surely help.

Good Luck

Hi Dustin,

Try http://www.centuryarms.biz/index.asp
Usually has some pretty good deals----be warned that a lot of their ammo is surplus and CORROSIVE.

Good luck!

3" 40 S&W

Hi All,

I am wanting a 1911 with a 3"bbl for my better half, and am seriously considering a Kimber Stainless Ultra Carry in .40 S&W.
Kimber is the only one I can find in .40, anyone else make one? Also, the Ultra CDP II available in .40?
Opinions?

TIA

Bad shooting????

FWIW, I found this on "rec.guns" this morning----- ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- A 92-year-old woman was shot to death Tuesday after she fired at three narcotics officers trying to serve a warrant at her house, officials said. Neighbors and relatives said it must have been a case of mistaken identity. Po...

FWIW,

I met Jonathan Ciener at the "Shot Show" in Las Vegas 1998.
He has an excellent product, but he's one of the most rude folks I've met.

LT,

I've got the Micarta "Gatorback" grips on mine. I like them as I don't get any chafing when worn without T shirt as I do when wearing checkered---also easy to grasp and hold.

My 2 cents----------

Hi All, I have a Professional 4" from Wilson's. It took a little getting used to, but it's now my daily carry. Even though the "bobtail" is full size frame, it doesn't seem to poke through the cover garment as much as the more angular heel, as is the intention. I personally had no problem after a bo...

Hi nb4zot, I sent in my CHL application last October and was still waiting for it to be issued. Then I went to a show in Big Town last January. I was wanting a Keltec P3AT as a back up, and was placed on NCIS hold. This worried me to no end, but it turned out that the FBI had my file pulled ...
