Re: Is this legal open carry?

IWB/open is exactly how I've been carrying this past week, including this morning when I was running errands. IANAL, but this is how I interpret the laws: as long as the holster is a shoulder or belt holster (regardless of design), it is fine to use. Open carrying with a belly band, pocket holster, ...

Re: Springfield hellcat POI is off

The only handguns I've needed to sight in initially are revolvers. I've only had two bottom feeders that didn't shoot right out of the box. The first one is a Rock Island 1911 which had a bad barrel fitment, so the sights weren't the problem. The second is an FN that was ammo sensitive. Hotter ammo ...

Re: Oklahoma lieutenant indicted for stopping active shooter

I'm with Paladin. I'm trying to find anything remotely close to murder or manslaughter, and I just can't find it. I can *maybe* see an endangering the public charge sticking if the prosecution is good, but that's not a charge. I'm curious why this case has gone in the direction it has so far. I'm po...

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

It's that time of month again. If Arlington is anything like Frisco this past Saturday, we'll get to sit in the hard, metal chairs this Saturday at Rudy's. I'll be there. Anyone else?

Andy, do you mean this? I'm not sure if they make that in 9mm, though.

On a more serious note, I vote Glock 34. Or a CZ P07. Or an HK P30L. OK fine. Beretta 92x.

Re: No place but Canada

It looks like a host of RPGs, missile launchers, and message boards are also banned. Yes, ARFCOM- and Calguns-made AR15s are banned. Fortunately, TexasCHLforum AR15s are still legal. On a serious note, Kel Tec Sub2000s, Kriss Vectors, and FN PS90s are still Canada legal. Yet, the Beretta CX4 Storm i...

Uh uh. That is guaranteed to be fake news because gun laws are supposed to work, right?
In addition to the murder and assault with a deadly weapon charges, Thomas also was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, carrying a concealed firearm and vandalism.

I like, but that may still be too close for comfort... Can't we stick them on the other side of the world instead?

Re: My 629 PC Revolver does damage from both ends

That looks so nice... I was window shopping that exact same revolver this morning. I ended up being kicked out because I got drool all over the counter. As for the thumb, I feel you. The first time I shot my 500 ended up with a bleeding thumb. I've since heavily modified my grip. Which 454 do you h...

Re: Small slim guns have ruined me!

I have a unique problem. Because of my frame and my constant need to keep my shirt tucked in, I find it incredibly difficult to carry concealed. The thing is that even the P226 is way too awkward and bulky for me to carry. I've even tried an FNS-9c with terrible results. I couldn't figure out how to...

Re: How do y'all inspect for cracked cases?

It depends. For rifle ammo, it's pretty easy. If it's split, I'd feel 100x less resistance in the resizing die. I do checks afterwards too just in case, but I've never caught a split piece of rifle brass after resizing before. For pistol caliber ammo, it's a bit different. I will feel for extra ligh...

Forecast temperature for tomorrow 8am is 48. May be a bit chilly for eating outside.
My thoughts too. I'll try to make it, but if my allergies continue the way they are, I may stay home.
