Re: HB 49 - Kill Daylight Savings Time

I say kill daylight savings for sure. I'm OK with the ballot vote as long as we stick to a single time. I am DONE with having to deal with time changes. Now if we were to stick with standard time year round (my preference), then that would be some nice icing on the cake.

Re: Trump is the last Republican President

Kanye 2024!!! OK, on a more serious note, my gut feeling is that by 2024, the Democratic platform will be shifted drastically, as people start to realize the hypocrisy and unsustainability that the current platform runs on. My guess is that it will sway left a bit more for 2020, then once Trump demo...

Re: Burris FastFire 3 vs EOTech 512

That's such an odd comparison. I'm not saying it's not a valid one, as I make comparisons like that all the time. I've thought about putting one of those micro red dots on a rifle before, but it seems odd as a primary optic. It would only make sense if it was a secondary optic, for example, to a low...

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

Today's Weatherford breakfast crowd = 4 of us: Excaliber, Jusme, hackjob, and myself. We missed the rest of you folks. Reminders: The next breakfast for the Dallas side of DFW will be Saturday, May 10, 2019 at Rudy's BBQ, northbound Dallas Parkway, just north of Main St, in Frisco, Collin County. O...

Re: I got pulled over....

Haha. I stole it as well.

On a related note, I got pulled over too. I wasn't as lucky, though. Apparently, the officer doesn't believe the ol' saying, “It's not how many times you fall that matters, it's how many time you get back up.” Something about not applying to sobriety tests.

Re: CA: Fed court strikes down 10 round mag limit

Well, that didn't last very long https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2019/04/daniel-zimmerman/breaking-california-judge-reinstates-high-capacity-magazine-ban-as-of-5pm-friday/ No, but think about how many hundreds of thousands of mags have likely flooded CA. I saw pictures of a lot of really lucky fo...

Threads title had me picturing a pleasant synthesized voice saying "there are two rounds remaining, there is one round remaining, reload now" :biggrinjester: Sorry
Now that is smart gun technology I might buy.
I'd buy one if it can be programmed to be humorously snarky.

Re: ARRRR! 15

It seems neat, but I've decided against it after realizing that I'd rather have a lever action mares leg than a modern day mares leg.

Then after seeing this post, I've decided I want one, but in 458 SOCOM. It would make a fun build and a very loud bang stick.

Re: AR10

AR10s in general are quite heavy. They're reliable with the right ammo (gas system, after all), and they're pretty darn accurate. I'm not particularly a fan, although I own one and am not planning on ever selling it. The best one I've handled is an LMT. They felt very solid and well built. A very ma...

Re: Shirt Front Buttoned or Unbuttoned when Carrying at 3:30 - 4:00?

I do unbuttoned because that's how I've worn those shirts even before I carried. It also gives me an option for OWB. Buttoning it would make the OWB holster print like none other.
