Re: Proper Exersize

Have you tried audiobooks? I find that getting lost in a story makes workouts (particularly those like walking that are not exceedingly strenuous) go much more quickly/pleasantly. I do not have the time or patients to read good books but I find I really enjoy books while I walk, mow, paint and such...

Re: Proper Exersize

Have you tried audiobooks? Sounds like a great idea. For me, its music. I even walk faster when I'm listening. The entertainment from either would distract you from boredom. Hopefully you don't have to deal with car traffic in getting to a walking track. Our closest park that has a 2/3 mile walking...

Re: Anyone on the SE side of Houston have H1000?

Been looking for H1000 to load 6.5 PRC but can’t find any. If anyone has an unopened pound they would be willing to trade (somewhere around PSC) let me know. I’ve got Varget and a few other powders I’d trade (or I’ll buy it from you if you order). I could also trade for a couple FFL transfers. Don'...

Re: What Can Someone Tell Me About A Tavor

Just so we're clear, the question I raised regarding velocity was in regard to 75/77 gr. Open Tip Match bullets needing 2700 - 2750 FPS and a 1 in 8" twist or faster to effectively tumble and be accurate out to 300 yards. So what exactly did you answer? No - just so WE are clear, I wasn't talking a...

You need to take IL off your list. Their CCL laws are very similar to Texas.
Okay, so long as we can forget about Chicago. The city, not the band! ;-)

Re: What Can Someone Tell Me About A Tavor

I'll agree with the first part, in theory, but in real world terms, what do the world's finest spec operators use in CQB? And without having face planted next to chamber. I don't care what they use Just an FYI, but no country has as many LE Agencies as the USA. A fairly high percentage of them have...

As far as velocity advantage, that would depend on how short you go with an AR barrel and if there's...

Re: What Can Someone Tell Me About A Tavor

I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade, but what advantage could a bullpup possibly have over a short-barrel AR/M4, or pistol with a shoulder brace? It certainly isn't price! ;-) Overall compactness while still retaining a long barrel for velocity. I'll agree with the first part, in theory, but in...

Re: Avoid Maryland

I've been to Maryland, NJ and IL. About the only thing worth seeing in any of them is the USS Constellation in Baltimore's harbor. Maybe it's time to put them on notice that we won't spend our tourism $ in theirs, or any other demo-commie state that opposes our 2nd amendment rights. Maybe the NRA sh...

Re: Anyone Interested in .357 Mag Revolver Shotshells?

Test fired the latest rounds at the range Thursday. I definitely got the results I was looking for with 34 of the 77 pellets I last counted at 95.1 grs. going into the 8, 9 and 10-rings. Submitted the article yesterday with a pic from Thursday's test. Hopefully it will go up early next week. There's...

Re: What Can Someone Tell Me About A Tavor

Maybe a question worth considering, how many Special Operations units use Bullpups? The Brits are a perfect example where you won't see anyone in the SAS, SBS or Marine Commandos carrying the weapon supplied to mainline troops. They'll likely be carrying the M4, or maybe the FN SCAR while German uni...

Re: Horowitz report

I think Horowitz was more concerned about his job security than doing his job. And with his watered down report, it seems obvious that he doesn't want his lack of action brought into question. All his report amounts to is some slaps on the wrists of a few that were already implicated. Since James C...
