Re: "My dog shot me"

"I was talkin' to your mom, the other day."

"Yeah?"

She said to tell you, you were born as one of Siamese twins."

"What?!?"

"Yeah. They gave the brain to the other twin when they did the separation. If you can find him, he might share, but I doubt it" :evil2:

Re: IWB deep carry in hospital scrubs?

I'd recommend a fanny pack. I used one for years, in the 90s, working in an ED. Scrubs don't lend themselves to carrying anything directly depending on them for support. Belly bands and ankle holsters are ok, but not exactly quick access. Obviously, I don't know where you work, but I would view the ...

Re: Magazine Release Button - How/What Can I Add To Make It Stick Out Furthr?

Be really, really, REALLY, sure that you NEED more mag-release access. I've seen lots of folks dumping mags at inopportune moments, either when shooting under pressure, or in force-on-force, deciding that the mag release needed to be more prominent before they ran it at speed. If you decide you do N...

Re: Help with wife

Mind-set is HUGE, as is trying to understand the other person's fear(s). I have long held that PTSD arises when one is faced with a situation for which one's psyche is totally unprepared (i.e., they lived in "it could NEVER happen to me"), or 2) the image of self was totally destroyed (i.e., "I'm a ...

Re: Oklahoma House passes "Constitutional Carry" bill

I'm curious how reciprocity works for people from a state with constitutional carry. "Reciprocity" recognizes the issuance of licensure within a common standard. In the case of licensed vs. unlicensed situations, the strictest standard applies. For instance, if an EMT-I is able to intubate in their...

Re: Medical accessories

Wouldn't this same legal argument also be true if you came upon a car crash and tried, but failed, to save the victim(s). Good Samaritan laws are specifically intended to protect the well meaning person in these cases, even if that well meaning person actually does more harm than good. Obviously, t...

2. Do you think it is logical to proceed to give medical first aid to someone whom you have just use your weapon against? The moment you touch the person whom you have shot, your legal position changes. It will be your burden to prove that their demise was not the result of your malfeasance or inco...

Re: Home Defense Weapon

Oh, Lordy. As mentioned, spend time shooting, as much as you can with handguns and long arms. Without a suppressor or muffs, I would be disinclined to recommend a rifle. If you wonder why, have a "friend" hold a toilet plunger cup in each hand, and clap them over your ears, as hard as they can, and ...

Re: Need a more comfortable Glock 43 holster

My holster is identical to TAM’s. I have soft loops with pull dot snaps on mine tho. Yes my holster is can’t adjustable. It is a comfortable rig but I was curious what’s out there and as stated earlier I need a full firing grip just like the one I’m using. Also I have to carry iwb at work. I would ...

Re: I need help please

As a general note, I would avoid the Serpa or any duty holster for concealed carrying. Duty holsters are meant for open carrying and quick drawing by the user, so they will intentionally stick out quite a bit from your body. If you want a good OWB holster for concealment, I recommend you get a panc...

Re: Anyone have an issue with this city ordinance?

Here's the deal- if we socially agree to allow property owners to beat/shoot/strongly physically dissuade those they do not wish to have in proximity to their establishment, we do not need the "stupid law." If it isn't legal for the property owner to roust people, we have to rely on Law Enforcement....

Re: Self defense fixed blade

that one you linked i was looking at a few days ago .. i wasnt to sure about the sheathe tho. how does that work for vertical vs horizontal carrying? also does it allow for IWB? It is optimized for centerline horizontal carry. Typically, it is set up for off-side draw. For a righty, that means it i...

Re: Self defense fixed blade

I've carrired my CPs for years. Perfect niche blades. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01H810BJS/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1522553071&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=clinch+pick Depends on your budget, and slap-n-tickle style, but for being readily indexed from the draw, easily conceal...
