Where in the heck did she get that 7 States ban hollowpoints? I can only find one New Jersey!
11 states. That's probably armor piercing. She (or her research team) has no clue about the difference.

Re: Difference between TABC signs?

Yes. Red =51%, blue = blue sign only. The places I've run into a blank has been at a vineyard. Assume it's because of the type of license.

Re: NRA CCW Instructor class

At Indy they talked of the course as having fourteen or more modules from which a NRA CCW instructor could pick to have a course meeting the requirements of their state, and that was true for all 50 states. I just don't see that working in Texas.

NRA CCW Instructor class

Got an email today with the official announcement for this class. First, from the website: https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2019/6/5/nra-launches-50-state-nra-ccw-course/ "The NRA CCW Course—a modular program adaptable to all 50 states —does not replace current NRA training courses. Rather,...

Re: Indy

Fringe waking up this thread reminded me it was here. It was fun, played firearm inspector again, talked to lots and lots of people, both vendors and attendees, the guys at Black Rifle Coffee were great as always, and yes, three hours before Chuck was due the line had about 50 people in it. An hour b...

San Antonio city council wrong - as usual

For some time the SA city council has been pondering on three ordinances. (1) prohibit firearm and ammunition sales within 1,000 feet of any school or church (2) restrict the location of a business that sells guns or ammunition to the highest-density commercial areas (3) prohibit gun stores from loc...

Re: Firearm in vehicle at work

...... Unless you work at a Federal building, including a US Post Office, or at Superfund site, then you are good to go no matter what your employer says because Texas law is clear that parking lots are NOT premises AND your vehicle is an extension of your domicile. Period. If you work at a Federal...

Re: Firearm in vehicle at work

I'm tempted to PM for the name of the company. I'd write requesting a copy of this policy to use in my LTC classes as an example of a violation of Texas state law.

Re: HB 1078 - License Fees waived for people certified to perform CPR

I got a CPR card so I could ignore 30.06 signs but waived license fees would be icing on the cake. I just got my CPR card a week ago (Going to try and go into an lvn/rn program at the beginning of the year). How does having a cpr card allow you to ignore 30.06? It doesn't. Although some people thin...

Re: Not well known guns - Review

My first handgun was a Ruger Security-Six .357 bought in '75. Then in '76 I saw this and for some reason decided to buy it, for $89. Problem was that it fired 9mm Largo, which at the time was difficult to find. That dealer had some on hand so I didn't even think about availability. After some years ...

Hmmm. Maybe I need to open a bunch of these along the borders.

For years before retiring I thought about opening such a place when I retired. So I retire, go to find a good spot, and guess what I find in the perfect spot.
