Re: Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!

I logged on to the DPS website this morning, and... "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active". Application received by DPS: 2/5 PIN received: 4/5 Application Completed - license issued or certificate active: 4/30 So, that's 60 days to receive the PIN, and an additional 25 days ...

Re: Knock down power of a 40?

Its been a long time since I've been to college, I suppose things have changed. Ballistics was studied in high school physics class and was a part of High School and college algebra. We discussed Everything from the trajectory of a rockets to the shotgun slug to rocks. You have to go through advanc...

Re: Travel to Calif.

Thanks, I guess I'll just have to think of something else to do durring my free time while there. I was looking through their website, and it looks like my Sig P226 is accebtable except for my normal capacity mag (12 round). But I mainly ask because I'd rather be proactive in my defense if something...

Travel to Calif.

I can't seem to find the correct answer, and as this board is mostly people from Texas, I still might not be able to get an answer, but I'll try anyways. I'm going to be going out to California for a couple of months this summer to stay with my aunt and uncle out there. As I understand, California d...

Re: ALERT: AMC Theaters have posted 30.06

I realize this thread is pretty old, but with the summer "blockbuster movie season" approaching, I think it might be a good opportunity to make a point to corporations like this. How much organization would it take to get a large group together and buy advance tickets for a show that is guaranteed ...

Re: Hillary Clinton is a pro-gun churchgoer?

Anything that uses high cap mags would be in jeopardy. If you don't already own AR's and AK's, it would be a good time, and as many high cap mags as you can afford. Same for semi-auto handguns. A good high cap 9mm or three and spare mags. Thanks. Hopefully I'll have a little bit of time to aquire t...

Re: Hillary Clinton is a pro-gun churchgoer?

Since it seems like Hillary or O'bama might make it to the White House, and from what I'm reading here, they want to renew/make some new bans on guns. Is there any firearms I should look into getting while we still don't have to register guns, (not formally per se) and before any bans make certain o...

Re: Early February Apps are being completed

I sent mine in mid Jan. I think someone went and broke the time line. Either that or I've been pushed into an alternate dimension, where I will never get my CHL. :'( (I hope not)

Re: An interesting (and suprisingly unbiased) NBC piece...

While it looks like NBC was a little sceptical, at least the first announcer was kind enough to say "Carry on campus legally". I have seen other news reports where they just say, "Carry on campus" as if we wanted to arm every student and teacher and wish them luck. I just wish we could get rid of ho...

Re: Spare Clips

"rlol" your right, I forgot that clips belong to the garand, magazines to handguns. Although on my lanky frame (6'6 kind of skiny with loose clothing) I might be able to hide one. The hard part comes from being able to afford one (poor college student, lived off ramen for 3 months to be able to get ...

Re: WallyWalk

I have some questons for when I do my wally-walk. One of the requirements is to get something from the top shelf to test and make sure that you dont stretch past what your shirt can conceal. I don't know how I can accomplish this as I am 6'6 and reaching for stuff on the top shelf doesn't make me li...
