Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

Excaliber: You have put in a lot of time and effort to find a place that hopefully will increase the 3rd Saturday attendance. Since the Cracker Barrel has plenty of room, in order for us to spend a long time at breakfast, I'm OK with it. Most of us probably CC most of the time, so what's one more d...

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

I checked outjust about all of the restaurants that serve breakfast in the Weatherford area. Almost all of them said they are too small to be able to afford to have tables occupied for two hours or so without turning over to other customers. They are all extremely busy on Saturday mornings and depen...

Why did these kids have the guns to "play" with in the first place?

I'm so sad for that girl's mom.
Mom is not blameless either.

What mother lets her 15 year old be in a 17 year old's room in another house at 1:30 AM?

Re: TX: Houston 15 yo dead from close range rifle shot to chest.

He appears to be pointing the gun menacingly, and in the beginning he is also showing her the display side of a cell phone. He may have been angry over messages he saw on the phone.

This looks intentional to me.

They took down current, valid, 30.06 and 30.07 signs and replaced them with obsolete Vernon's Civil Statutes signs.
Since the new signs have no legal effect, perhaps the change was done by an undercover pro-2A manaager. "rlol"

WTS Original Glock 27 .40 w/Night Sights and 4 Magazines - $400

Original Glock 27 bought when they first came out. In very good condition (very slight holster wear) with about 500 rounds through it. Comes with tritium night sights, 4 magazines (1 with finger extension) AGrip grip enhancement material (readily removable with no residue if desired), extended slide...

Re: Gen 1 Glock 27 Value

Are you sure this is a Gen 1 Glock 27? To my knowledge the only Gen 1 Glocks produced were Glock 17s and a very few Glock 19s. A Gen 1 Glock has the "speckled" finish all the way around the grip with no checkering front or back and no finger grooves. To my knowledge Glock 27s start at Gen 2.5 with ...

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

What about Whistle Hills Cafe on the square? Haven’t been there since it was Weatherford Cafe (wife loved the banana pancakes). Only problem again is the size and hogging a couple tables during morning rush. That’s it, we need to convince Rudy’s to open up a spot in Weatherford. Though I have heard...

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

I stopped at Sunnyside Cafe today and spoke to the manager. He'd be delighted to have us, but 8:00 on Saturday mornings are very busy for him and he can't allow a table to go for two hours without a turn in customers. His place is too small to make that a good business decision. I visited the Cracke...

Ive seen gen 1 17’s fetch a premium. Never seen the subcompacts do it.
Same here, especially now that everyone is running away from .40
I'm not surprised. That's in line with what I expected to find until my friend suggested I look into it further.

I've used Genitron for a reality check when thinking about a "Like New" i.e. used purchase.

Gen 1 Glock 27 Value

I'm thinking of selling a Gen 1 G27 I acquired when they first came out.

A check on GunBroker found none available, and an FFL friend told me that they are considered collectibles now.

Does anyone have any info I could use as a point of reference to establish a fair value?

Thanks!

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

This breakfast is for the "Fort Worth" side of DFW. Hopefully, some Tarrant County/Parker County/Palo Pinto County members will make an appearance. Several 3rd Saturdays, the Arlinigton attendees have been bitterclinger (Dallas County), flightmare (Collin County), strogg and SIA (both Denton County...
