Re: walmart asking for chl

I don't plan to open carry in public. At least not outside of teaching classes, or maybe at church, or other places where I am among friends. And yes, I do have a nice Level 2 retention holster. But, I am not comfortable with the thought of having to fight someone for my openly carried firearm. So, ...

Re: 2016 Curriculum

They will.

In the many years that we have been teaching, March is the earliest I have seen it. It has been as late as June.

Patience is a virtue. Using the previous one, and adding the legislative updates is an option.

Re: LTC Course Hours Discrepancy?

At the start of class, I explain that the state mandates a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 hours of classroom instruction. How long it takes for that particular class will depend a lot on the quality and quantity of questions, how many breaks or other interruptions we have, and how well my brain is...

I have the Hogue grips on all of mine. (Sweaty hands). And I also like the extended slide release. (Saves wear and tear on the thumb)

Re: Am I eligible?

Include all arrests on your application, and also send in the paperwork stating the final disposition. Even if it was deferred, even if you were a juvenile.

From what you have disclosed here, you are not be disqualified.

And DPS does not care about your college transcripts.

Re: revocation/suspension of chl

Did you surrender your CHL when you were arrested?

Have you been to court, and were you found guilty?

Have you received notice of suspension/revocation from DPS?

Re: Baby snakes

What kinda snake? What did it look like? Coulda been harmless, coulda been a copperhead.

Either way, baby snakes grow up to be grown up snakes, and they don't need to be porch snakes.

Re: Fingerprint advice needed

Corn Husker's lotion is like fingerprint magic. Get some today. Use it religiously between now and your appointment. On the day of your appointment, drink LOTS of water before you go. Plump fingers have better ridges. And DO NOT wash your hands right before you get printed. It dries them out. Then, ...

Re: Utah ccw

Yep, Utah is a great backup CHL option. I just love that if I ever have to use my weapon and the cops take my gun and my CHL that I have a backup pistol, backup holster, and backup CHL all in my truck. I'll be rearmed in seconds. I think that may be a great idea but am wondering about the recent ch...
