Re: Officer Invades Apartment, Shoots Resident

WOW WOW WOW When they appeal, I wonder how much of the testimony this jury didn’t get to hear will be presented or allowed. Then if this is overturned that’s it, right? It doesn’t go down to manslaughter, right? And if that happens she is free because they dumped their mag in this trial with regards...

That means she had the culpable mental state required for murder.
Wouldn't that then apply to anyone who shoots another person? That seem like a really broad brush.

Re: Officer Invades Apartment, Shoots Resident

The bottom line is that as a LEO she did have the right to be there, technically. Whoa there cowboy. Why? The police were not called to that apartment. She was not investigating a crime. She was not in pursuit of anyone. I'm curious about your assertion that she technically had a right to be in som...

Re: Today in Plano, Texas

In the game, you pay very little attention to what is going on outside the game and it might take several seconds even for something like gun shots to register.

Now, the parents and others in the stands ... They should have reacted sooner.

Re: Red Star icon

I’m telling you it means that you book marked the page. Really. It's not. The Chrome bookmark star is blue. And I've bookmarked each of the other sites that have their own logos as the icon, while this site is the only one with the red star icon/favicon/whatever thingy. It's not a tumor! :big...

Re: Officer Invades Apartment, Shoots Resident

A mistake of fact has lead to the death of many people without any charges or convictions.

This is a very unfortunate situation no matter the outcome of this trial. An innocent man lost his life and this woman's life is ruined.

Re: Officer Invades Apartment, Shoots Resident

I have caught bits and pieces of the trial. Mainly reporting on the AM radio. Why did the jury not get to hear the Texas Ranger say she acted reasonably? I haven't seen an explanation why that statement was not in front of the jury. I, too, have only heard bits and pieces. But I did hear that quote...

Plus, if the forensic examination of his long gun proves it was used to kill someone previously, that would tend to strengthen the DPD's justification.

Maybe, but the officer wouldn’t have known that at the time.

Re: Officer Invades Apartment, Shoots Resident

It's been a couple days since I heard this on the news and can't remember who said the following. I think it was a defense lawyer, a woman, that was talking about the circumstances the she, Guyger, knew them to be at the time she fired her shots. The lawyer was talking about her options and I thoug...

Ah that's a little different. Does it look like this? Capture.PNG If so, those aren't favicons, those are generated by Google. My icon for Texas CHL Forum is the Google maps icon for whatever reason. Do you see a red star In the browser tab? That is the favicon. Now we're on the same page. Where yo...

Re: Hobby Lobby issuing verbal notices

It's meant as a heads up that if that particular location has been reported for verbal notification, it's likely that you will also receive a verbal notice if you carry/open carry there as well. You can then also make up your mind on if you want to spend your money there or not. That's exactly how ...
