Re: CHL holder killed by police in Las Vegas at a Costco

I still remember when this happened. I always suspected a cover up but also believed that it is an example of what not to do when carrying concealed or open. Eric's actions did not justify his death but at the same time, he did about everything wrong one could do prior to the shooting. I read every...

Re: The Much-Maligned, Under-powered 30 U.S. Carbine

I ran across a box of obviously reloaded .30 Carbine cartridges that were loaded with 110 gr spire point bullets. Whoever loaded them had seated the bullets far below the rim, so that the ogive was almost completely inside the case with perhaps a tenth of an inch of the tip above the rim. There was ...

Re: Remington .22 LR Thunderbolt Ammo $144/5000 rnd (2.89¢/rd)free shipping

I am not recommending this ammo only reporting it's cost, which is quite reasonable. Rimfire ammunition should be evaluated for reliability and accuracy in any given firearm, especially semi-autos. I have many semi-auto rimfire pistols and rifles and each has it's own preferred ammo. I test them al...

Remington .22 LR Thunderbolt Ammo $144/5000 rnd (2.89¢/rd)free shipping

Natchez Shooter's Supply has Remington Thunderbolt .22LR ammo for $144.99/5000 rounds (2.89 cents per round). Free shipping! I don't know if they collect tax. I don't shoot much Remington ammo, but I bought 10,000 rounds of their standard velocity .22LR ammo from the CMP a few years back. I've shot ...

Re: Transferring a Handgun to My Adult Son

Don't know where else to post this, so here goes: I want to transfer ownership, i.e., give, a handgun to my adult son who lives in another city in Texas. As far as I know, the gun ( a S&W Model 10 manufactured in 1980) has never been registered under Texas laws. I (a private purchaser) bought it at...

Re: NM: Walmart to stop selling guns in New Mexico

I'd be curious to know if NM can legally force an FFL to perform that service. That extends the requirement far beyond the requirements under federal law as the state has no control over the regulation of an FFL. IMHO but, IANAL

It was great to be able to attend this month's breakfast again in Pearland. Only five of us made it this time, but the food and the company were both enjoyable!

Hope to be able to join again soon.
