Re: Hunting grounds for Ferals?

IIRC, one could make arrangements to donate that meat to a homeless shelter or other charity. Hogs are a terrible and destructive nuisance, however, if they aren't too large they are good eating. If you contact a game processor that is affiliated with Hunters For The Hungry they will process for a ...

Re: Need input for cataract surgery lens replacement-UPDATE

I have just had the first eye done, and next one is scheduled for Aug 7. I went with the single vision lens. My doctor HIGHLY recommended staying away from the multi-focal lenses. He said there are too many problems with them, and that they really just do not work. Apparently, the hype is a lot bet...

...are so resolute in their beliefs, even in the face of strong statistical evidence to the contrary? There's an article in the DMN (8/8/10) I always thought it was because they were stupid. Instead, it's a defense mechanism for politicians who can't stand to say that they're wrong. . I think your ...

Re: Need input for cataract surgery lens replacement

I have had surgery in both eyes. I consider my distant vision to be near perfect. I do have to wear glasses for reading (dollar store). I read an article posted by Mr. Cotton a while back suggesting stick on lenses on the upper portion of shooting glasses. When you duck your head a bit you can see ...

Re: Need input for cataract surgery lens replacement

Wish I could help, but I have had replacements for both eyes before your post for the first time made me aware of the existence of the Restor lens. I would be very interested in seeing your replies. For what it might be worth, as maybe an alternative, I mentioned to my opthomologist that my hobby w...

Re: Magpul PRS stock question

I purchased a used PRS stock a while back but it does not say Magpul on it anywhere, no markings at all. It certainly looks like original Magpul to me but... I was told it was bought in a PX in Iraq-could this be true? Could that be the reason it has no markings or is it maybe a repro? Any ideas fr...

Need input for cataract surgery lens replacement - UPDATE

I am having cataract surgery soon and I am looking for any information and or first hand experience about the Restor (bifocal-multi-focal) intra-ocular lens versus normal (single vision) lens. Specifically how it affects sight picture. I have seen information that the Restore lens may diminish night...

Re: Which concealed license(s) do you have?

Texas and Pennsylvania. Got the PA license dated to expire 6 months after my TX CHL in case there were any delays next time I renew. The delays may be not as bad in five years but I aplied during the big glut of applications and waited 178 days. But considering there will be a lot of renewals in fiv...

Re: Marlin 60

Ok, I know it's been a long time... but I finally found time to get out and try out my Marlin 60 after installing the Tech Sights. Wow, what an improvement the peep style sights are over the ramp style sights! Surprisingly, the Tech Sights were dead on accurate and did not need any adjusting whatso...

Re: Fourth Generation Glock Disassembly

I don't own a Glock but I bought my son-in-law a new G22 (I assume it was the latest generation because the guys said it was the new model) in April and the salesman at GT distributing informed him the new model was a little different in reaasembly. The two piece guide rod had to be straight and the...

Re: East Austin bunker under home

Austin is going to have to raid all the caves in the area! It's unsafe to have below ground voids apparently. This poor guy is going to have to stand by with out a home, with his property confiscated.... oh stored that is..... until they can figure some way to arrest, or cite him. Note that the city...
