Re: 5.7x28 - the real skinny?

So....almost 7 months later and against my senses, I ... just bought one. But it was a good deal ... :???: I had an opportunity to shoot it, and school myself on proper ammo selection etc. and I must say, it is a formidable piece of machinery. Shoots very flat, this round just zips along, recoil is...

Re: Why I like revolvers over semi-autos

I like revolvers primarily because they are pleasing to the eye and fun to shoot. That's all the justification I need to carry one from time to time.

Re: Ice bullets: Fiction or developed by CIA for "wet work"?

Unless you are driving an ice cream truck, I don't know how you would keep your bullets frozen long enough to use them. If they just warmed up slightly they would fall out of the casings. Besides all the other problems previously mentioned.

Re: Thoughts on a NAA .22 Mag

I don't have the NAA, but I remember a local news story from a couple years back. 3 or 4 cholo gangster types tried to rob a restaurant in northeast El Paso. There was an older gentleman there who pulled out an NAA and shot one of them in the face as the guy walked around collecting customer's walle...

Re: GSD or Belgian Malinois Breeders?

Both GSDs and BMs are fantastic dogs. They are quite different in their behaviors however. I buddy of mine who is a K9 officer and works a Belgian Malinois, describes BMs as a German Shepherd after chugging a case of Red Bull!. BMs are fantastic working dogs for police or military because they have ...

Re: Multitool suggestions

I have carried a multi-tool most of my adult life. I was carrying a Leatherman Wave for quite a number of years. I loved it. Great quality and I got a lot of good service out of it, until I stupidly left it in a hotel room. I replaced it with a SOG power assist which is what I have been carrying for...

Re: Army chooses Sig

Sigs are great guns, no doubt. All things being equal, I would prefer to see our troops carrying American weapons. M&P would have been a great choice too.

Re: 9mm ammo: anyone used these brands?

I used 1000 rounds of S&B at my last class in September. I was shooting .40 but the ammo functioned great and did not seem too dirty. I would definitely buy it again. I had two gentlemen right beside me that were shooting Tula 9mm in their glocks. Interestingly enough, they burned through a case eac...

Hey it's free speech people! Just don't hang a Confederate Flag up, or a copy of the Ten Commandments, 'cuz that's different.

Re: Oathkeepers: Communists Intend to Overthrow the United States before Inauguration Day

Credible threat or hyperbole? Hyperbole for sure. Take a worst case assumption that the lefties have somehow gotten to the Secret Service and that they take out Trump and Pence and then occupy the White House. Then what? Were any significant part of the federal apparatus to go along, you might actu...

Re: New .38 Spl Colt Revolver

I'll be in line for this. My most prized gun is my Dad's mint condition python with 2 1/2" barrel. I also have his old cobra, also mint. I would love a Colt revolver I could carry and shoot. It is nice to see wheel guns getting some love from concealed carry crowd.
