Re: What does it take to open a Range

Keep in mind that Texas gives counties the right to restrict shooting on tracts less than 10 acres. Some do, some don't. Check your county's ordinances. Actually, it's 50 acres for rifles and pistols. The 10 acres is for shotguns, air rifle, BB gun and bow and arrows. Marksweil/Garcia946: Got any l...

Re: TSRA Seminars

So, where do we get information regarding the "what", "where" and "when"?

Re: PIN #

Actually, not only did I get the pin by email today, but my wife brought home the snail-mail version today, too. So it only took from the 19th to the 28th for them to receive the app, and process it to the point of issuing a PIN. She was so proud -- thought she was bringing me my LICENSE! Had to let...

Re: Friends and Revolvers

Randomouthburst -- Yeah, nobody had responsibility for it, as it was passed from one guard/shift to the next. The older woman "day guard" would have nothing to do with it -- it spent the day in a locked cabinet. No telling how old the ammo was -- it had turned kinda green. Actually I couldn't believ...

Re: Friends and Revolvers

Thanks, karder -- thought it was probably something like that. Many years ago, I had a summer job as a security guard at a plant that made insulation. It was an "armed" position. There was a single revolver that was passed from one shift to the next. The most frightening thing about the revolver was...

Re: PIN #

Based on the message above, I requested my PIN at 8:30 this morning -- it came at 2:20 this afternoon!
So I'm now officially "being processed". :eek6

Check Cashed, waiting for PIN?

Well, the check to DPS just cleared last night, so I know DPS has received the application. But I have a question. People here say the received their PIN via email, but I don't see on the application paperwork anywhere where I entered my email address. The packet was supplied by my instructor, not o...
