Re: Manager at Texas Whataburger denies service to detective because of his gun

The cop didn't have to disarm all he had to do was cover it up. Just like us of the lower classes are required to do. What bothers me is that people for some reason this guy is entitled more than the rest of us.

Re: Manager at Texas Whataburger denies service to detective because of his gun

Whataburger has a policy of no open carry, but concealed is fine. Just like HEB. :iagree: It's just a dress code policy. Whataburger isn't anti gun. Concealed carry is fine. The guy should have complied with the dress code and covered up. Show some respect for private property rights and enjoy your...

Re: Manager at Texas Whataburger denies service to detective because of his gun

I lived in Friendswood for 20 some odd years. It very well could've been an issue with the cop that the manager had. I respect all police officers, but many Friendswood cops have been looked at questioningly by many residents, including clean cut law abiding folk, not just criminals mad because the...

Re: Manager at Texas Whataburger denies service to detective because of his gun

If they would toss me or any other citizen out for wearing a gun, why shouldn't they kick out gun-toting cops without a uniform? Cop can either cover it or leave it in the car, just like the rest of us. Seems like he is just looking for special treatment. We've known how so many of them get turned o...

Re: Gov. Greg Abbott announced a new school safety plan and proposed changes to gun laws

Bought a Marlin bolt action .22 when I was 12 living in NYC. New York City! No background check, no paperwork, just cash. My grandson now owns that rifle and it fires as good as when new. Of course I have it locked in a safe and only let him have it when we go out together. To be honest though, I w...

Re: TX: San Antonio Road Rage Incident

So we have an (admittedly likely biased) eye witness report, that contradicts the story told by one of the shooters in this incident (who would also be biased). If there's no video, and the two shooters have different stories, and the only non-shooter eye witness corroborates one of their stories, ...

Re: Do Own A Sig 365?

I would never trust a 1911 because of reliability issues with defensive ammo Isn't that a bit broad? Since there have been over 100 manufacturers and 1000's of models in the last 100+ years, ruling out an entire class of pistol, and it's variants. (many of which are as reliable as any "modern" desi...

Re: Do Own A Sig 365?

For me there are two kinds of guns, Gunst to depend on and guns that are toys. I wouldn't buy a gun that to carry or protect my home that hadn't been on the market for a few years. and developed a reputation for being safe and reliable. A gun that's to be used as a range toy or a collector's safe q...

Re: Moved out of state

You can renew it online, The Texas LTC is valuable for it's recprocity in more states than any other state. If you move back again you will have to go through the classes, the photo's and fingerprinting all over again.

Re: 10 Round Mag States

I know in Massachusetts that any possession of a standard capacity magazine is illegal whether in gun or not. You have to be licensed to possess a magazine or ammo. Standard capacity Magazines are grandfathered although I don't know how you can prove how old they are. The crimminal types don't worry...

Re: Chelsea Manning has attempted suicide twice now.

I am ashamed of the posts that would seem to advocate in favor of Manning committing suicide. Whether you agree with someone on a political or social level, they are still a human life, and they have people that would still have to deal with the aftermath of that suicide. We should be better than t...

Re: Ruger lcp

The LCP is one of most popular guns in America. It should be reliable because it is a Ruger, but nobody really knows because they can't stand shooting them. Most will agree that it's better than nothing. Others will claim that because of the anemic .380ACP round not much better. I think its a great ...

Re: Can We All Have Differences of Opinion?

One thing I have figured out is that no one wins in an internet argument. What we can do is make a point. Or clarify an issue. Those we will influence aren't the ones that we argue with. It's the folks on the sidelines.
