Didn't seem to say in the article, but implied that a nearby muffler shop was open.

If I understood their website correctly, that beep can be disabled.
Looked at the manual last night and sure enough there is a way to disable it!

My safes are much more quiet now. Thanks!

They have very advanced video camera systems these days. Digital recorders, that will also alert you when there's motion on camera (the pixels change). The camera alert can give you a good heads up on the perimeter. A relative of mine has a set of cameras with an alert system. One day he heard it be...

I've got a couple of the gun vaults. I like em. They open pretty quick, and can be operated by feel in the darkness. They do make beeping noise when you operate the keypad though. Had em for years, use em all the time, and they're still on the original set of batteries. Just make sure to keep your k...

2 of my guns have an integrated lock. H&K USP and a S&W revolver. The S&W revolver lock is probably better than a trigger lock, although the key comes with it rusts very easily. The H&K lock is akward to operate (have to remove the magazine). And a problem is that if the H&K lock is on, you can dama...

It sounds like Bully was definitely a great person. Somebody who always did the right thing, and someone who will be greatly missed. But I have to agree that it was a tactical error to go in the house, with no one in the house being in danger. If everybodies safe, its time to call the police and let...

It's my understanding that it's not a problem having a gun at the show (practically everybodies got em), just a loaded gun.

Personally, I'd avoid open carry since I can carry concealed. Although it would be nice not to have to worry about 'failure to conceal'

I like Vermont/Alaska style laws... so I certainly wouldn't object to an open carry law in Texas.

Re: Discussion at work

He said that if someone shot a member of his family, regardless of circumstance he would come after the shooter, and thier family - as vengence. Now, I think he is halfway playing devils advocate, but what do you all think about revenge for SD shootings? -nick First off, lots of people say what the...
