TV Show: Texas SWAT on Court TV

It wasn't until after I watched the Dallas SWAT show that I found out there was another one. "Texas SWAT" on Court TV.

Haven't seen Texas SWAT yet, but it's on Wednesdays 8-9PM.

I used the new targets in a CHL class for the first time yesterday. They presented somewhat of a problem in that, with tall shooters and a lower aiming point, the first 20 rounds (at 3 yards) would go through the X-ring and then hit the concrete floor in our little indoor range. I've shot the B27 p...

This threads is kind of strange to listen to. In all my 53 years and all the times I have been pulled over by the law not one single time has any officer ever asked me if I had a gun in the car. Are people getting freaky here or have I just been real lucky? Before I got a CHL, I had at least 2 poli...

Yeah, it just isn't the same kind of show as COPS.

But I thought it was cool that the Texas SWAT teams are ranked pretty high in the international competition. Wish they showed more details about what the SWAT competition was like. They only gave glimpses.

TV Show: Dallas SWAT on A&E

The new show premiered last night. I read some bad reviews, but it wasn't too bad. It's an interesting look at what Dallas SWAT is and does.

I think he must be upset with the idea of people with no official license and training carring a handgun in their car(legally or not)... while it's always been legal to carry a rifle or shotgun. Makes perfect sense :???:

I looked at HPD's crime statistics: http://www.houstontx.gov/police/cs/pdfs/ucr/cs_ucr_1985to04_summary.pdf The numbers HPD has for 'Unlawful weapon carrying, possession' are around 1100-1400 per year since the CHL law kicked in. Since Rosenthal said: "Last year, this office handled about 5,000 weap...

What is the reason for not returning fire? Is it political or is there some legal reason why our agents cannot defend themselves against attacks that comes from over the border? Probably political. Also, it's natural when under fire from an unknown source to take cover and/or leave. I've heard that...

Re: What to expect in Harris County for Car-Carry without CH

If they find a handgun(on or about your person without a CHL), they will arrest you. Who are they? Houston City Police, Harris County Sherrif, Harris Constables? Where did you get this information that "they" WILL arrest you? Rosenthal said as much publically. I would suppose all police in Harris c...

The CHL does look pretty cheap by comparison. Or maybe people will just carry long-guns instead of handguns.
