Re: Ross Perot death

IIRC, he railed against the NAFTA agreement....the sound of American jobs being sucked southward. But as a good businessman, he hedged his bets. The Alliance area of Fort Worth contains Alliance Airport, and a lot of other infrastructure, which enables both domestic businesses and those engaged in ...

Re: Ross Perot death

While Ross Perotv was undoubtedly an honorable person, I will always remember him as the man who, through his third party candidacy, put Bill Clinton into the White House. Certainly Perot contributed to Clinton winning, but George HW Bush’s “read my lips” failure was the primary cause. If Bush had ...

Ross Perot death

89 year old Ross Perot has died. I worked directly for him from 88 to 95. I loved him dearly as boss, businessman, and a friend. He has been a blessing to our country and my family. RIP.

Re: Weapon storage near Glacier national park

Be sure to take your pass ports or passport cards if you are going to Canada. Not so much for Canada itself but for coming back into the US. It can be a big hassle with out the passport. Didn't use to be that way but it can be now depending on the ICE agents involved. Storage of the handgun is very ...

Re: Any ham trader sites...

I will second mojohn on MTC. They are good people and stand behind their stuff. The closest store would be Paris , TX HRO is another that is a good operation and they have a store in Plano, Tx. Both have an on line operation. After a 15 year absence from the operating Ham world I jumped back in a co...

Prayers for the family. I know this was in Alabama and not sure what their rules, if any, for posting are but I have been in exactly 3 different Chucky Cheese's in 3 different states over the last 20 years   and all have been posted with whatever was legal for that state (30.06 for Texa...

Either way. If you fly underneath the bullets trajectory at high speed you can catch the rounds.

Re: NL: Shooter runs into path of own bullets

If you fire at an slight upward angle then fly under the bullet path at high speed you can catch or pass the rounds. The rounds are slowing down rapidly and starting to fall They are dangerous if you ingest one in the engine or hit a live HEI (explosive). It's been part of "don't do training" for de...

Re: What Point of Sale system do you use?

Depends on how big an inventory and if you need inventory control / reorder capability. Our hardware store uses NCR Counterpoint but I hold VERY short of recommending it. It's way too inflexible to adjust to our needs. (and it is expensive)

Re: Mass murder at a Church kills 32

This site provides an indication of just how under reported attacks on Christians are in the mainstream media. Very few of these have I seen anything about in the mainstream media. It seems it isn't politically correct to cover such vicious tragedies against Christians but it is when it is the othe...

Re: Earthquake in East Texas

Didn't notice anything, but I'm about 105 miles away though. Went through a 6.+ in Turkey once at about the same distance. That made things sway a bit and made me feel queasy. Went through several 2s - 4s in Japan and Ca. and a 3 in Me. They were just noticeable at 20-40 miles. A 3 in Japan was almo...

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

I think "Beto's" main purpose for running is to try to get the VP nomination. He got a sizable following in Texas and could help any other dem. try to carry the state. He's also got millions of campaign dollars left to contribute to the cause. The dems will go all out to flip our state.
