Re: TX: Defense of Property During the Nighttime?

The use of deadly force to protect your "stuff" is a tough decision to make. Stuff can be replaced getting yourself involved in a shooting and maybe getting killed yourself ... is it worth it? Don't get me wrong, I would be highly irritated if I can home and found I was broken into. But if I came ho...

Re: feeding issues with savage .22

I called Savage this morning and they are sending a new 10rd magazine. Gave no reason why the problem or what I could do to fix. Guess I'll see if new mag fixes it.

feeding issues with savage .22

Looking for some help. Recently became an owner of a Savage Mark II .22 caliber rifle. Cheap little thing from Walmart so I did not expect much. But I did expect it to feed .22 bullets. The magazine seems very loose in the mag well and you have to push it just right to get it to feed at all. And the...

Re: Dick's Sporting Goods

Two Dick's sporting stores within driving distance of me. I have been in one of them early on before their "gun stance". Well over priced and not that good of a selection. So not shopping there is very easy for me. I agree with 'longtooth" I doubt they will last unless they change their ways

Re: Incredible account of Parkland shooting

Does anyone have an update on this? Have officers in the sheriff dept been removed? Have any charges been levied? I wonder if this information has been spread to other school districts? If this gets sweep under the rug for political reasons we will have other tragedies like this happen. Train and ar...

Re: Decisions decisions...

I use a single stage RCBS for my rifle rounds and a Lee 4 hole turret for pistol. Not too expensive to start and as others have said unless your loading several hundred round a day should keep you in ammo.

Savage rifles are another choice. Not to expensive and very accurate out of the box.

Re: Sig P938

No problems here with my 938. I first bought the 239 (.380 version) and like it so much I bought the 938. I have put several hundred round thru it with no troubles at all. Carry in my front pocket in a holster of course. I was a little worried carrying condition 1 in my pocket. SO I unloaded it, coc...

Re: The woes of Unique

For what it's worth when I started reloading for 45acp I asked the people at my local gun shop what to start with. They all said use Titegroup and I have been using every since. Also use it for .40 and many other cartridges. True you need to be a little extra careful with Titegroup as there room for...

Re: Opinions on Sig P938

I too carry a 938 condition 1 every day. Front pocket with appropriate pocket holster. Easy to carry and shoot. I did carry it empty for about a month to test the safety before loading and sticking in my pocket ;-) . Very reliable safety on these guns, firm but not hard to release. Pricey but as the...
