Re: SB11 & HB910 This week....
Can someone post up the difference in the two amendments? Is it a significant change or just a minor change? If you are talking about the "Dutton" amendment, my understanding is the only difference is basically a typo. They were intended to be identical. Yes... I was looking for the diffe...

I'm confused... Is 910 going to the governor or not?

Re: Concealed Carry in Circuit of the Americas
Just to follow up. There was a legal 30.06 sign at the entrance. The sign appeared to be portable and is probably only put out on nights when the event in not sport related.

Re: Concealed Carry in Circuit of the Americas
Sorry for bringing back an old thread but what about CHL at the amphitheater on a concert night? Not a sporting event. Does anyone know if it is posted. Also, who owns the faicilities? It's not city owned is it?

Texas Parks and Wildlife Building
I tried searching the forum but not much luck. All searches returned many hits but none seemed to be relative. I talked to a Parks and Wildlife Hunter’s Safety course instructor on Friday about taking the course. During his spiel about what to bring and etc. he mentioned “No guns no ammo, period.” I...

Re: clear weapon before surrendering it to LEO?
I have been disarmed by a LEO during a traffic stop. I had one firearm in the console and one on my person. I had informed the LEO of this. He instructed me to exit the vehicle, he then disarmed me from the firearm on my person and cleared it himself. He put the cleared firearm in my vehicle, on the...

Re: Bill would require all S.D. citizens to buy a gun
The point is, If the SD law were to pass and then make it to SCOTUS, the argument the liberals would make would be that it is unconstitutional because the activities substantially effect commerce e.g. shipping of firearms and etc. I assume this would mean that the fact that they force the citizens ...

Re: Bill would require all S.D. citizens to buy a gun
In Wickard v. Filburn (1942), Congress set quotas on wheat production through the Agriculture Adjustment Act. Wickard exceeded his quota when the amount of wheat produced for his own use was included with the amount he sold. The Supreme Court held that Congress has the power to regulate local intra...

Re: Bill would require all S.D. citizens to buy a gun
it is about as unconstitutional as Obama's mandatory health insurance bill. I disagree. The Constitution gives no power to the Federal government to require we purchase a good or service. The 10th Amendment states any power neither granted to the Federal government nor specifically barred from the ...

Re: New York City investigates Arizona gun show
I did preface my comments with "if this is true"... Believe me, I don't take Bloomberg at his word.. Whether or not NYC continues to violate Fed law is certainly an issue to be discussed... but that still doesn't obviate the portion of this issue I was hoping to focus on ... the fact that...

Renewal "Condition" Question
I filled out the online renewal stuff last night and printed out my check list. I'm requried to turn in a copy of my DD 214 so i can get the discount. I can't seem to find my DD 214 from active duty. All I can find is my DD 214 from the reserves. Will that work? If not, at some point a link was prov...

Re: Proud Papa.
I will do absolutely everything I can to encourage her. I worry about her as she works nights at the county jail. She is going to talk to her chain of command about the possibility of using the lock boxes in the sally port so she does not have to walk through the parking lot unarmed. I am going to g...

Proud Papa.
So, several weeks ago my 22 year old daughter told me that she wants to get her CHL. It made me Proud. I waited several weeks and had a pretty good talk with her about it. I mostly wanted to make sure she was doing it for herself and doing it for the right reasons. I also wanted to make sure she wil...

I rarely go to the PO. Once or twice a year to mail stuff to my in-laws in the Phillipines.
