Re: M1 Garand Rabbit hole

I have found multiple people selling vintage ammo for reasonable prices on TGT and Armslist. I have 30-06 ammo from as early as 42/43 and every decade after until the 80s. I only shoot it on special occasions with friends and family along with my circa 1917 M1911 springfield. Have not had any issues...

Re: Elon Musk

It isn't about the cars.

Name one other guy or company innovating as much as Musk and Tesla/SpaceX....

This isn't about the product now, this is about the future.

Re: Springfield 1903 rebuild

Man that hurts a bit. I kind of took a gamble on this. I couldn't fully see the serial but thought it was 808xxx, luckily I was right. Didn't have a ton of pics but it didn't look awful. The biggest thing I missed was the utter destruction the original rear sight collar went through. They removed th...

Springfield 1903 rebuild

So I am continuing my quest of collecting WWI & WWII firearms and found a poorly sporterized 1903. The good * original 1918 receiver SN 808*** so about as early a receiver that I'd feel comfortable shooting. * original 1-18 SA barrel with good rifling, not counter bored, and no throat erosion. *...

Re: Tesla picks Austinfornia for new plant.

What exactly is wrong with Tesla, and what is wrong with Elon bringing jobs to Texans FYI I own Tesla stock, plan to buy one of the cars and a power wall and have property 10 miles from this factory location and I am ecstatic they are coming. I think California is a cesspool and dislike how anyone a...

Re: Anyone personally know of an open range?

So my original answer still stands correct. The absolute bare minimum to shoot rifles is 50 acres, certain locations increase this to 100.

Either way 12 may only be good enough for pistol, shotgun, bow, and air.

Re: Anyone personally know of an open range?

I was under the impression that for rifles the minimum was 50. A city or subdivision does not supercede that minimum.

Not sure what you are quoting but I think that is pretty wrong.

Re: Anyone personally know of an open range?

My backyard is open. Country life is great. I bet it is. My little 2 acres definitely isn't enough but it is a decent compromise, all things considered. SA-TX We have 20 so plenty of shotgun room. Behind us is better then 500 acres. We have plenty of coon and other small varmint hunting I'm looking...
