Re: Seattle's new gun and ammo tax

It is bad precedent, and it would shot down at higher grade courts. Yep just like gay marriage or how about obummer care. I just don't think it is a gimmee that SCOTUS does the right thing anymore. If it isn't overturned probably every city with a democratic mayor will try it. http://texaschlforum....

Re: Don't Laugh...25 Auto

Just remember James Bond used to have a Beretta 25 before M took it from him and gave him a Walther PPK in 380. I believe that was in Doctor No.

Re: Introduce yourself

I just recently moved to Texas from rural MO a town called Knob Noster (don't Laugh) the B2 bomber is there at Whiteman AFB. We moved after 37 years there to be close to family. My wife and I are 67 years old and retired from Civil Service. I used to program computers and my wife was an accountant. ...

Re: Marksman Indoor Range in South Houston

I shot there last Saturday the range was OK but we had 40 shooters in my CHL class and the instructor wore a face mask so I don't know about the ventilation. The range itself seemed shorter instead of the normal 25 yards or greater. They were crowded not a lot of parking but it wasn't bad.

Re: Finally took my CHL class

I just received a confirmation that received my LTC documents and they said it could take up to six weeks. That's not to bad. I am hoping I get it sooner. BTW the only thing on my record is that I held a CCW permit in MO for the last 5 years. Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and please don't...

Finally took my CHL class

I must admit I never expected a class of 40 people the instructed said that it was so large because people wanted to take the class before the end of the year. I remember taking the CCW class in MO and I was the only person. I am also surprised at the number of steps involved in MO you took the clas...

Finally moved to Texas

I have a Missouri License to carry and moved to El Lago, Tx which might be part of Seabrook or Lake City I haven't been able to figure out this city within a city system you have down here. My house hasn't sold yet in MO so I still carry that CCW. I know that I will have to take the TX CHL class her...

After several months finally moving to Texas

You would be surprised what a huge pain it is to move after living 37 years in the same house in Missouri. My wife and I are finally moving to the Houston area on the 26th of this month. We will be staying with my son until the house in MO sells and he will be in the Kemah area. He just purchased a ...

Will be moving to the Seabrook, El Lago in May or June

I currently hold a Missouri CCW license that will expire in June. I probably won't be able to sell my house immediately so I guess I still will be considered a resident of Missouri till my house sells and I purchase one in Texas. Will my CCW still be OK in Texas I realize that when I get there I wil...

ability to use that to bypass NICS checks when purchasing a gun, and you know you need another LOL This is good to hear MO is trying to get this passed in the current Legislative session. We get a lot of trouble passing things because we have a Dem governor and St Louis, Kansas City and Columbia (U...

New Member from Missouri

Hello I am a new member to this site. I became a member a few years back to download your old handgun private sales form and haven't been back since. Traveling to your State over Christmas

I will be traveling from Missouri to Houston over Christmas and have a valid CCW permit from MO. I know we have reciprocity with Texas, and I want to know if by chance you get stopped by the police or highway patrol do you have to declare that you are armed. In Missouri you have to tell them if they...

Sad facts is that even one of our TV stations be sure to call the AG's office before you carry in KS. A lot of us from MO carry has been calling and the new list has yet to be published. They never said however the list was rescinded just that it was being reviewed. Had a great time in Houston over ...

Thanks for all the info. BTW in MO you have the choice of either getting the CCW stamp for your license or being issued a ID card with the CCW stamp. I have the ID card reason being the driving license is 6 year our CCW is only 3 years so you don't need a new drivers license every 3 years. I look fo...
