Re: Sig 210/P49
I am looking to see if there is anyone in the DFW area, who 1) owns a Swiss Sig P-210 or P49 in 9mm and 2) would be willing to let me shoot it. I am happy to travel to your range and bring ammo (brass cased, factory) or alternatively you would be welcome to come to Dallas Pistol Club as my guest to...

Re: RDS v. Iron Sights: Not just for old blind guys
So how many of you guys carry, or plan to carry with a RDS mounted on your carry-gun? The points made about putting the time in to get acclimated certainly seem valid, as far as range use. In a defensive shooting scenario, can you get a shot on target as quickly? ;-) You need to read the Sage Dynam...
Re: Bloomberg
Maybe it falls on us to educate others that Ka-Boomberg has to stand on a crate that used to hold 24 bottles of Dr. Pepper to feel like a contender! And as Marlon Brand said in the movie, On the Waterfront, "I used to be somebody, I used to be a contender!";-)

Re: Is Taurus CS the worst in the Imdustry?
Cant answer topic as I have never owned nor will own a Taurus anything, not bashing them just not for me, there is a reason why there are topics as this, when I buy I consider all including the after the sale service and product reviews, my firearms are part of my life and I take them very seriousl...
Re: Bloomberg
Mike Bloomberg and Hillary Clinton could not run on the same ticket, as they are from the same State and the Constitution (remember that?) prevents it. Two residents of the same State cannot be elected by the Electors as President and Vice-President. They have both missed the deadline to change res...

Re: Bloomberg
Due to being vertically challenged, he'll be standing on a platform during the debates. Sounds like a case of Napoleonic complex and I don't expect the Swamp Fox will miss any opportunity to point that out. Then again, if he chooses Ho-Larry as his running mate, should he win the presidency, I expec...

Re: Alpha Project Revolvers
That 3” 9mm looks interesting, if the price is right.... Yeah, it's a looker. Decreasing the size of the "billboards" would help and the sideplate screws could have smaller heads. Wish they would offer the 3" .357 Mag. But if sales are good enough I suspect that we'll see other model...

Alpha Project Revolvers
It appears that Armscor (Rock Island Armory) is now the US Importer. Found out about this yesterday while perusing the Armscor site. The former importer had them priced comparable to Rugers, so we'll see what Armscor prices them at. No prices shown as yet. The AP revolvers are made in the Czech Repu...

Re: Is Taurus CS the worst in the Imdustry?
Now for the latest chapter in this saga. My brother just checked with Taurus again and it seems they shipped his replacement pistol to FLA! Don't know how you get Fort Worth, TX confused with FLA, but Taurus managed to find a way! I've never heard of a Fort Worth, FLA???

Re: EDC knife
After fixing a software problem, I am able to access files that weren't available for a while. One of them is a guide for knife steel. I didn't specify that the Buck Bantam 286 has a 420 HC blade which differs from the standard 420. Rockwell C is 58 whereas 420 is 49-53. Did the same thing in mentio...

Re: 'Thunder Snub' BFR in .45-70
I saw that article the other day, if i could find one for cheap (6-700 range) I would try one but not for that custom price. I bought a Freedom Arms model 83 Field grade In 454 Casull off Gunbroker for what seemed like a decent price (around $1000 with a scope and mount which was much less that oth...

Re: RDS v. Iron Sights: Not just for old blind guys
I’m just shy of 60. Old to many of you and young to many others. Over the last year I went down the RMR path but have returned to regular iron sights. My issue isn’t my eyesight but hands that aren’t as strong or steady as they used to be. Seeing the red dot on the target jinking around makes me lo...
