Re: First Time

I really enjoy this board but I can't stand how many threads start out as friendly and then end up so bitter. I don't think there is any bitterness in this thread. If we all agreed on everything, how fun would life be? We're all having an intelligent discussion and sharing differing opinions...I ap...

Re: First Time

This will be my last reply on this because it's gone off topic a bit, but you state: So yes, there is good reason to speed in a "school zone", most notably because "school zone" is poorly defined and arbitrary. Who are we to decide though? School Zones are there to protect childr...

Re: First Time

I beg to differ. Just last Friday I was taking my daughter to school. The side streets leading out to the main road have no signage indicating you are entering a school zone, however the side streets dump you right into the middle of one if you turn onto the main street. As I turned out onto the ma...

Re: First Time

Not to get on a soapbox or anything...Heck, I speed too.

But NEVER in a school zone. If I was the LEO, you WOULD have gotten a ticket. There is never any excuse for speeding in a school zone.

Re: What to buy my wife?

I got my wife a compact Taurus Model 25 .25 ACP. She wanted something small and not very powerful. It's loaded with MagSafe ammo.

But alas, she can't shoot it right now...She's preggy. She's itching to go shoot though.

Re: Long time reader, first time poster

Well, based on everyones advice, you were right. I picked up a leather Bianchi IWB Holster and wore it (Sigma 9mm) around the house all night yesterday and after a while I forgot it was there. It's a tough feeling to explain, but I am sure everyone on the board will understand it...I love the feelin...

I may try to attend! My first baby is due about two weeks prior, so I'll have to play it by ear but if it's feasible, I'll make it!

Long time reader, first time poster

Name is Brian. Just got my first sidearm (outside of the military) and put my first 200 rounds through it at the range. I'll be taking my CHL on May 10th and can't wait. There seems to be a lot of informative stuff on the site and I look forward to scouring through it all. I've got a S&W Sigma 9...
