Re: How Do You Secure Your Firearms

Handgun safe by bed and desk safe in my office. Also have large safe for long guns and smaller one in closet.

But yes - locked up all the time except when wearing it. We have a teenager still at home and a number of grandkids.

Re: Project Veritas: Pfizer edition

Pfizer director caught on hidden camera physically assaults James O'keefe and Project Veritas staff when confronted with video and trying to question him. Interesting tidbit - why did restaurant lock the doors and keep people in when they were trying to leave? https://twitter.com/Project_Veritas/sta...

Re: Project Veritas: Pfizer edition

I get the zero hedge concern, but the origin of the undercover work was done by Project Veritas: https://www.projectveritas.com/news/pfizer-executive-mutate-covid-via-directed-evolution-for-company-to-continue/ Like them or not, Project Veritas has done some amazing hidden camera undercover reportin...

Free E-Book: The Essential Second Amendment

I saw Amy Swearer of The Heritage foundation post this link on Twitter to someone in response to their incorrect understanding of the 2nd Amendment. This free book came out January 9th, but I had not seen it. It is nicely done and a very quick read. She also does a lot of research on defensive gun u...

Re: Bump stop ban signed today

Several different threads exist on this subject... but 5th Circuit over turns ban on bump stocks. The court concluded that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), rushed the legislative process by approving a rule to define bump stocks as “machineguns,” in which the court rul...

Re: TX: Austin man defending his home with rifle from burglars shot and killed by police

Don't know if all of these videos are above, but they (Ring door bell and body cams) are in one place here. I still am not sure what the homeowner was doing by firing inside the house. Officers checked the residence and did not locate anyone inside the residence. Would be interested if someone got o...

Re: TX: man arrested after killing shoplifter fighting with store employees

This is going to be interesting. It is a legal shoot (IMO) because Texas allows deadly force to prevent a robbery or escape after a robbery. Shoplifting is theft. Using force at any time during the theft or attempting to flee from it makes it robbery . But the shooter may not have known it was a ro...

Re: TX: man arrested after killing shoplifter fighting with store employees

Sec. 9.32 Deadly Force in Defense of Person (a) A person is justified in using deadly force against another: (1) if the actor would be justified in using force against the other under Section 9.31 (Self-defense); and (2) when and to the degree the actor reasonably believes the deadly force is immed...

Re: TX: man arrested after killing shoplifter fighting with store employees

It sounds like the guy with the gun intended to be a good guy, but if the story is accurate, he could be in real trouble with the liberal DA in Dallas County. But I think it depends on how badly the guy was hurting the women and the question then boils down to: Was deadly force reasonable in this si...
